Regarding the pre-ordering of this wagon, I see various retailers have them for sale. Would I need to pre-order with them so they order for their pre-order number or will they just have ordered a certain number for themselves based on waht they think they can sell? In short, do I need to pre-order this wagon?!

Did anyone get a look at the new Intercity livery 73, 73136, at the Great Electric Train Show? Only video I've seen it in wasn't clear, but the Executive light grey still looks white . . . Not sure if it's still a pre-production model though.

Some good footage of the 59s here from 13:49. Looks like they've gone with the higher up cantrail stripe on the FY silver version, rather than having it running through the blue stripe.

Also very impressed with 47 526, to the extent that I'll probably buy one now! Good prototype photo in that state here (photo has automatically embedded; it's from https://thesulzerpictorial.weebly.com/class-474.html): And the other cab front:

The two Intercity Mk4 coaches I kept on order (SO and buffet) arrived today. One bogie needed to be twisted 180 degrees as it had been fitted the wrong way round, otherwise I'm pleased with the coaches. Good footage below from 23:12 of Intercity Mk4 coaches side-on at slow speed. I notice the yaw dampers on the Mk4 bogies go from lower to higher left to right in all pictures I've looked at, but in this footage, they all seem to be the opposite way round for some reason. https://youtu.be/DT2RjFWIr7U?t=1392

I guess they'll do another run of FOs with different running numbers in the future, so will just have to wait on those.

Good TSOE/loco picture:

If this does turn out to be the case, is it possible to rectify it by removing the body and turning it 180 degrees?
-
Have they done the GNER and LNER coaches with these vents and then gone and used the wrong roofs on the Intercity ones? If it's an error, I'm cancelling those fom the order I placed this morning as I'm fed up with all these Hornby errors. I kept the Mk4 DVT but I'll just wait for re-runs now and hope they're correct.

Very bright on full power on DC, but ok on DCC. No light bleed on either. The room light was on for the DCC pictures and off when I did the DC ones, but it makes little difference; way too bright on DC either way. Head and tail lights on DCC (Bachmann older 21 pin decoder, standard decoder CV settings): On DC, full power applied:

I've been looking at the prototype with regard to the horns on the Intercity version and it's not as easy to find clear pictures as you'd think. From the ones I've linked to below, the Intercity one seems to have the three horns set back, rather than being flush. A panel seems to have been added in front of the horns on the later ones. Best views are here: YouTube video from 8:33 (might want to turn the music down!): Can zoom in on the large size of this Flickr image and get a reasonable view: The weakest parts of the Intercity version for me is the horns (might be able to do something about them, either an etched grille or even paint the area black, as it looks that colour in quite a few pictures) and the piece under the cab windows, of which only the lip existed on the real thing (whole piece should only be on the Mk3 DVT). Don't know if anyone is willing to remove that piece to see what's underneath . . .

They seem to have done this how it appears on the Mk3 DVT, which is incorrect for the Mk4 DVT.

Can't link to the page directly, but the pre-owned locos section at http://www.southernpridemodels.co.uk/ has a Bachmann 32-815 Class 47 in Intercity Swallow livery, as-new for £89. Use the main menu on the side of the homepage to navigate to the pre-owned section.

I've posted about it a bit further up this page. The toilet coach on the blue/yellow version should have a toilet each side of the coach, with corresponding toilet window each side. If you look at the pictures on the Kernow website, they show a toilet window one side and a full size passenger window on the other. Unless I missed it at the time, none of these 319s (or any 319 at any time) had a toilet coach like this. Missing shoegear and a large gap between units are solveable and I can live with a driver's window that might not be quite the right size, but this coach is completely wrong. And bizarrely appears to be a separate tooling rather than the wrong coach used from another of the 319s that were produced. To rectify the error, Bachmann would hopefully supply a new coach body from the NSE or Northern one (which are correct) painted in the blue/yellow livery. Kernow pictures of both sides of all coaches here: https://www.kernowmodelrailcentre.com/p/54892/372-876-Graham-Farish-Class-319-319382-Thameslink
