  1. Verstappen getting booed to the chant of Checco, Checco!
  2. I think I have got it from looking at my Sky controls!
  3. With the base coat dry thoughts turned to weathering. I tried dry brushing with a darker shade, but it looked terrible. So a quick wipe ready to start again, but I'm struggling to decide what to do. I'm aiming for a sandstone finish.

Max our 13 year old male has been under the weather. Struggling to wee, but also we noticed one eye was slightly opaque. Late afternoon yesterday a white semicircle appeared at the bottom of the eye. Vets didn't have any appointments, so got in today. There is now a red halo around the iris. Vet wasn't sure, so sent pictures to a colleague. Poor chap needs an eye exam Tuesday. Need to keep an eye on his toilet habits otherwise back tomorrow.
  5. My parents had a similar thing. Told them to report it as fraud. At least that way its "on the system " should it escalate. I just can't remember who they reported it to.
  6. @IamDaniel Not alone. Returned my sound decoder a month ago. Replacemant supposedly sent out last Friday after I enquired about it. Still not arrived. All sorted now.
  7. Books can talk! You'll be telling me the Earth is round next!

I only sat down next to Mia!
  9. Something I've never been able to do is walk into a room with a layout, bang on some Def Leppard with a suitable beverage and paint stuff. Base coat applied to the viaduct which will create a scene based on Daniel's Mill. Here's one I made much earlier, the shelter.
  10. I'm aiming for the inter war years with usual anything goes caveat with regards to rolling stock to a certain degree. I've got the NRM KGV and also Burton Agnes Hall in WR colours, but everything else is pre nationalisation.
  11. Thanks Andy. I did initially think about having it the other way around, but decided against it as the main station building would have its back towards you.
  12. I thought I would start a topic for my layout build. It's been a long time in the planning. A house move and renovation has meant it has been packed away for nearly 8 years. I have partitioned the garage to give me a 12' x 9' room. So work can start on my Arley inspired layout. I've rescued the old boards and have a 3' wide run around the room. I've started to lay things out. I have already built the shelter and have a outline of the station building. This will get remade as I'm not happy with it. The platforms are too short, a through back to the earlier smaller layout. I've use Highely Box as a reference for the Arley Box. I have also made a wooden template for the road bridge. The jury is still out on the profile. It drops to the left, but different pictures show different drop offs. It doesn't help that the bridge crosses the railway slightly skewed so you get different perspectives. I can’t find any civil drawings for the bridge. One departure from the prototype will be double track on the approaches. This is to give a bit more flexibility on what will eventually be a tail chaser.
  13. Probably to early for the "Granges in Box Tunnel" myth
  14. You could try Greenwich couplings as a replacement or perhaps file the front on the coupling where the two meet.
  15. I would consider that a payrise from peanuts.
  16. Several drivers reported to have gone to the medical centre due to dehydration.
  17. As was Ocon. To hot for the drivers. Not good.
  18. Feel for Sargent, sick in his helmet.
  19. Well that will spice it up hopefully, but the whole grid will be pitting within a few laps of each other.
  20. My lad has been with a Porsche team at Brands Hatch all weekend. The car he has been with all weekend came second only to have a penalty. He was gutted, but they have just reinstated second place for them. So it's not just F1 it happens in.
  21. Aunt Dorothy tried clicking her heels and chanted "There's no race to go" and so it came to pass!
  22. https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/2023/geri-halliwell-horner-cbeebies-bedtime-story-reader That will be the fairy tale of gallant Sir Lewis and his trusty stead who set out to win the Golden Cup. But dastardly Max and his Red Bull kept knocking him off said stead. Just when victory was assured for Sir Lewis a lowly competitor caused an accident that set in motion a series of events. Dastardly Max's Fairy God Father, Jester Michael of the FIA, waved his magic wand and ignoring all the rules gave the Golden Cup to Max and his Red Bull.
