My eldest and his girlfriend are have fun at Silverstone. Got a Williams cap signed by two Williams academy drivers, plus Arthur Leclerc and Jack Doohan who both posed for pictures. Then we saw them in the crowd on Sky's F1 Show. Next a video of Lando walking past and a selfie with Alpine team principal Otmar Saufnaur.

My eldest and his girlfriend have weekend tickets for Silverstone. It's very expensive. Last year they were able to go Thursday free of charge and we saw them on the F1 Show. This year they are charging I believe, but they entered a draw for free tickets and managed to get them. A friend was trying to book tickets and they could see the prices rising as they progressed in the online queue. By the time he got to buy the tickets they had risen so much he didn't bother. Its called dynamic pricing I believe, price increases with demand.

I used to regularly exhibit at Headington & Stockley as well as crewing for friends. Used to park the engine next to the tractor pulling and watched from the footplate. Its a very good rally.

The Screwfix own brand stuff is pretty good. I've a number of power tools and they are very good for the price. My SDS has taken some abuse. I've even had attachments that do sockets in brick walls. I also made an attachment to rivet spokes for 4" scale traction engines.

My SDS Plus drill is a Screwfix own brand. It can drill, drill with hammer action or just hammer action. The later is useful with SDS Chisels for breaking concrete or removing plaster from the wall. The other advantage is that it has a clutch which slips when a 4" core bit catches which saves your wrists and stops you spinning around. There is a bit of play in mine on the hammer action that requires light pressure to get the attachments to bite.

Probably been mispronouncing all the Welsh places we have been visiting this week. We were also in Aberystwyth yesterday, but didn't see much of the town outside the Vale of Rheidol railway.

On holiday this week between Bala and Dolgellau. For some reason the car veered towards the railway on the way back from Conwy and a Holy War was procured! The good Lady Wife said it could be my father's day present. Did see Maid Marion in the platform and Holy War by the water tower.
