Automatic signal files for 3D printing
sjrixon replied to Phil Parker's topic in GardenRail Magazine
The article states a G scale and 16mm.. Are the files the same? (I can see some are for the Peco base) -
I managed to find a few hours for a couple of little projects over the weekend.. I wanted to start getting some progress around the engine shed started. The base layers are simply foamboard to shape it, glued with a glue gun and then covered with plaster bandage. Quick and easy :) Once the facia is back on the front and painted, I think we can get some grass on.. I've hung the shed doors so they open... Not quite got it right yet, but the idea is there.... I'm just trying to remove as much blank baseboard as I can...

Amazing. So my bay is on the station side, so correct. And there is no branch, so a standard home would be fine. Already have one home, so 2 more, one for the bay and one for the main down. I'll booking Warley.. So time to make a shopping list.. 😀

Question time......... My bay is situated on the upline, I've no idea if that is normal? However, I assume that for the departing train there would be a home signal at the end of the platfrom. Would that be a normal home? Or maybe the bracket home? https://www.Dapol.co.uk/products/4l-001-007-bracket-signal-gwr-right-hand-with-one-arm?variant=43341687488735

I would agree.. PO Wagons are normally mineral, so wouldn't be sheeted..

Good use of the word 'flockaridge'.. Great to see her running, enjoyed that!

Railcar sits in the bay, getting ready for departure, the autocoach has just arrived on the down, while the pickup goods is about ready to departure on the up main.. Busy afternoon! 😁

I looked at the people for the rail motor.. Then looked at my empty railcar... And then at the pile of unpainted people.. Still excited for the railmotor to arrive...

Really should pop over, never quite make it..

The problem I had with that method, you then can't propel the coaches. Not ideal if you want to move them into a carriage siding.
-
Oh no... You are not the first faulty Manor, that's a concern... What couplings have you used on the coaches? Looking very smart.

That's looking very good.. Like the 15xx a lot!

I'm glad it's not just me that was disappointed with the sound pack. I to watched the video, and that made me upgrade to the sound version. My YouChoos pannier sits happily running, making it's little sounds. You can't hear the Manor. But also, the variety of sounds the Pannier plays on it's random cycle are so much better.

I have to ask - Is it Friday yet? ;)

We went to 'Steam' at Swindon yesterday, as they had a model railway exhibition on. It's been a while since I'd been to one there.. I don't think personally it was their best, still enjoyed the day, but the trade wasn't that interesting and I felt their could have been a few more layouts. Anyway. I bought a wagon and pint glass to support 2874.. Also had a pint to support the museum ;) Once of the highlights however was holding the GWR railcar from Kernow. They really are exquisite. This is them on the shelf...

We 'GWR' people have some amazing locos, trucks etc. But coaches, not a lot. Some interesting things on the horizon, but still very lacking...

We spent the morning glueing our fingers together, or, installing the fencing on the down platform. At one point, I was stuck to the platform. The lights were finished last night. I still want to add a switch, but that's a further down the line type project.... Need to have a tidy, running session, and then find the paint to complete the fence.

They look really smart. I'm the same, always putting them off. 4 in primer have been sat on my desk forever...

I've ordered 4402.. The full Great Western lettering gets me every time...
