  1. I think it's a good blog entry Simon. As a fan of the Thompsons like you are, I really love what you've been able to do to create all the Thompsons and I think that Graeme's stuff is a really great aid to that and I didn't get the impression that you were having a go at people who have kits built. Keep up the good work :-)
  2. Still think this is great, and it's brilliant to see a BP on there :-)
  3. Love the way you've modelled the wobble too :-) How about doing one in orginal condition with no defelctors and a 6 wheel tender - super v2! Thompson has done some other canny rebuilds too. How about a K5 next?
  4. Weathering Limestone ballast - just can't get it right, so I'm taking a break...

  5. Brilliant stuff Simon. Really nice to see an A2/1 at last too. Have you decided what you're going to finishe her as yet?
  6. Gastroscopy is a less fun hobby then model railways.

This may depend on which end of the gastroscope you are!

  7. Hi Peter. Thanks for posting this. Answers one of my many questions :-). Now to track down some polystyrene!
  8. Hi Nick. Really liking what you are doing here. I'm trying to make a representation of Hassop myself being a Chesterfield lad so it's really inspiring. Are you planning on scratch building the station buildings based on bill hudsons drawings?
  9. Hi Peter. Has anything been happening with GTD of late?
  10. Hi there. May I ask what you have done to make the windows please?
  11. Nice vid! So we're saying it's better then the Lima 87 ;-)
  12. Hey Dave. That's a bit out of your timeframe isn't it?!
  13. Looking great as ever Gilbert. Look forward to seeing those A2/3's :-)
  14. The last one looks like a VW camper van!
  15. Thanks Chard - I think that's a wise assumption! I just thought that the strategy with the rails / Bachmann LMS twins seems to be an interesting one, with some being limited, and some not. I'm sure I heard sometimes that some companies (not sure if it was model railways co's though) give exclusivity for a number of years, then it's a free for all.
  16. Does anyone know if the Class 28 always be exclusive to Hattons, or will it be a general release later? Maybe with the original windows? I'm undecided as to whether to get one for a peak district layout at the mo.
  17. come to St. Neots - about 1cm of snow, roads clear...

  18. Rob - yu've got a real talent for these kind of photos - BB looks really beautiful. Did you do anything to make it more glossy?

  20. can't even come on rmweb and avoid the footy scores - all I want is to watch MotD in ignorance!

  21. It seems to be the biggest white elephant we'e had around here for a while. Barely a week goes by with out a busway story in the Hunts press! If only they would reinstate the railway. There was group called cast.iron cmapainging for that priginally. I don't knwo whether they exist now, but I reckon and extension of a Liverpool Street service that would have run on from cambridge to St. Ives, Godmanschester, Huntingdon and Peterborough would have been good fro commuters, and another way of keeping those buses of the A14, which isn't the greatest road in the world.
  22. @maxstafford - thought you meant about the Chinese consortium, but then saw the hattons post!

  23. Great stuff as ever Mick. Will you be able to do a fleet review for us one of these days? What is exactly tucked away in the dark corners of the shed?
  24. I wonder what they put in the water in the 1960's that people seemed to be able to come up with such horrible colour schemes!
