  1. Just started with SCARM and having a slight problem in that I cannot seem to turn points around. I am sure it is very simple but so far it has beaten me! Help please?
  2. There is one thing for certain. Building a new A3 in the same way as the A1 Steam Trust have Tornado would have been a hell of a lot cheaper and would have ended up with a much better loco than the one that the NRM are busy throwing money at.
  3. Thank you so much for all of your hard work, keeping us informed, educated and entertained all in one go. I look forward to reading more.
  4. And where is the Capital in this one then?????
  5. How many Blonde's does it take to change a lightbulb?, One, if she's got the receipt.
  6. one's drinking, one's smoking, one's taking pills Pistol Annies - Takin' Pills from their new CD Hell on Heels
  7. I always 'block' the sender of any e-mail that I think is spam. Sadly I have an AOL account and you cannot forward an e-mail on AOL unless you open it and I won't open them under any circumstances! The number of spam e-mails I get seems to be related to wht web sites I have visited. Those from the USA seem to be among the worst although since I don't visit East European or African sites that may be being unfair on North America! Just treat any offer of money for free or pills as spam and delete. That way you don't get any nasty surprises!
  8. So make sure the way out is in line and escape quickly!
  9. So if there are a number of you working with that manager and they are all equally fed up with it, get them all to turn around when it is said and see the reaction! If questioned you were following orders!
  10. When I went to New York in 2000 the immigration people objected to my putting English or British as my nationality and insisted that I put UK down because our passports say we are from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland! I allowed myself to mutter something about it being a pity the CSA had not won and nearly got thrown out!
  11. Works on my system .......... at London Underground!!!!!! I won't tell them if you don't! Chris
  12. I have had two different printers in the last five years. The only reason for changing was that it was cheaper to buy a new Printer/Scanner than to replace the broken scanner and keep the old printer! I have found with HP printers that Black compatible cartridges work fine but the colour ones give a lot of trouble so I buy cheap Black ones and the real Colour ones. Chris
  13. I went to the cash point today the lady infront asked me to help her check her balance I gave her a good shove and she fell over!
  14. A plea from the nice people at Screwfix Customer Services "Our web-site shows a tool catalogue - not a dating agency" !!!
  15. I went for a walk around the cemetery today I saw four undertakers walking about with a coffin they were still there three hours later Hello I thought - they've lost the plot.....
  16. That must be for the real thing not the models! Chris
  17. Nice idea but according to DB timetable site you could leave St Pancras International on a Wednesday at 08:55 and arrive Plattling at 21:56. Which means the return would have to be the next day on the Thursday at 08:00 and arrive St Pancras Internation at 21:03. Maybe we would need a day in Plattling which makes it a three day trip! Still it certainly sounds like it would be fun although my wife would not be happy at the cost! Chris
  18. Sold in December for £35.99 with 11 bids. I have bought good items with fair prices from this seller. Seems his first effort was not far short of what someone was willing to pay! Chris
  19. I think some of the sellers must be mad! Just did a search for OO gauge Graham Farish/Grafar items and over half of the ones listed in the 'OO Gauge Coaches' section then said they were N gauge which they were not listed under! Don't sellers realise that if you have an OO layout then N gauge items don't fit! Chris
  20. I am sure that the sleepers to Inverness in the 1970's went past the station and then shunted back into a platform that was close to the next Far North service. The twice I was on the train it was very interesting to find that we were being propelled with a shunter at what had been the back of the train riding on the outside of the rear door! I put it down to Inverness being far anough away from 'management'. Chris
  21. I note that the seller says in the discription that he does not want payment by Paypal so if it goes missing in the post they can sell it again next month without you getting your money back!!! I thought you had to accept Paypal as a payment method! Chris
  22. If you charge £30 an hour for building it that is possible! Chris
  23. Is there any way of getting an arrivals and departures list for this station, at least on the passenger side? A lot of the time I seem to watch for periods when nothing is happening and must be missing most of the action! Knowing when it is busy would help! Many thanks in advance. Chris
  24. surely that should be:- ...dog....cat....duck!!!!! Chris
  25. Having an end to end layout the different numbers are a bonus to me! Put in a bid which I hope will see a new locomotive on the layout in the near future. Chris
