  1. Alan, your weather sound like ours which is most odd for June although its going to warm up soon, After the weather forecast, our high tide is just over 13' so no flooding today! For model related news, I have just acquired three GW carriages for my 'finescale' tinplate layout! Brian.
  2. We're all pals together nowadays - at least until the poll results are in! Brian.
  3. Phil, your kit job look better than the Dapol version which, for want of a better word looks a bit, clunky, in comparison. Brian.
  4. Got me going there for a minute, Andy but wrong North Road! Brian.
  5. If a Cl.66 has been passed for Moorswater, then its hard to believe that anything else in Cola's toy box wouldn't fit! Brian.
  6. Hi Kev, I was just going to write come on down and then I realised, I don't live there any more and woke up! Seriously, a great atmospheric picture and a lesson in grungy sidings. I still don't know what's around the bend by the dries though Brian..
  7. Union Jacks are hard to find over here besides, the locals won't know! Brian.
  8. Good timing! Should make it easier for our photographers to make it for tons of pictures hopefully. Brian.
  9. Could someone please explain the significance of the coloured axle boxes seen these days on just about any loco and rolling stock. I remember them covered in dirt and grease! Brian.
  10. Hey Nick, don't forget Horrabridge! Actually Moorswater and the Looe line is a layout in itself, especially if you back date it. Industry at one end and quay sidings at the other with a main line connection. If you go back far enough, you could run up to Caradon!. In its basic form, the next best thing to Wenford Bridge or todays contemporary version. Brian.
  11. I clocked up four score and one last week so your allotment has a long way to go yet. Trains keep you young and age is only a number; there is no such thing as 'old' age!. Brian.
  12. This saga is finally over, the book for some reason took over three weeks to arrive but as everyone has mentioned it was worth the weight(!), It is heavy!! Brian.
  13. The best thing about holidays is coming home although its hard to leave. Brian.
  14. If the weeds get much bigger, there will be slippage akin to leaves!
  15. Lovely comparison shot. You must have been standing in the same footprint at the same spot, Garry. Brian.
  16. Thanks, didn't';t even see the I! My wife wants a new one and it might be handy if she had one that took good train pictures! Brian.
  17. Good job NR or its predecessors didn't rip up these sidings ages ago like so many others they've lived to regret.. Brian.
  18. <<< Some more shots of the Westcountry. I am not sure what to make of renamings even on a temporary basis but the GWR did it extensively with the Castles so it's nothing new >>> I'm not too fond of renaming just for effect, I must admit. The GW did it in celebration of the RAF for the times which seems legitimate reason. Its a bit like turning the WSR into the S & D - you know its not real or nothing like it but if it makes someone happy and adds to the bottom line, so be it! Brian
  19. That was very good for a mobile phone, What kind is it please? Brian.
  20. Feel good in the fact that the last Imperial hold out is the good ole US of A which considering why they left the Colonies, is a miracle. Now if they could only spell properly! Brian.
