    Does anyone know if the rail wheels on the Road Rail excavator are the same as the unimog, in that they are slightly too wide to run on 00 track, or are they the correct width for it? Thanks

    I picked up the unimog at my local model railway exhibition today. That and the excavator were all I wanted from the series. As it was said earlier, unfortunately the rail wheels are out of gauge, but it still looks good parked up in my network rail depot: Matthew

    Hello, Network Rail areas looking good, great pics. In answer to what other 'junk' you could have, anything really. Cable Trunking, Orange Piping, Signal equipment, rail offcuts, sleeper stacks, ballast bags, anything goes. I have attached some pictures of my Network Rail area, they may be some use to you. Also, if you havent already, check out my Permanent Way Depot topic ( http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/86640-permanent-way-depot/ ) , there are pictures of real depots, model depots and lots of hints and tips about what to have in them.     Great work, the fire engine decoration and interior look fantastic! I thought all brigades were changing/have changed to the blue/black fire uniforms, do feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Matthew

    'Three trains of S7 have been temporarily formed into eight-car formation for use on the metropolitan line. When these trains revert to S7 formation, M2 cars 25382, 25384, 25836 will each be incorporated into a new build train' Don't know if that helps at all but that's what a particular book has to say

    S8 stock is used on the Met, to the best of my knowledge the only S7's to use the Met were in a temporary 8 car formation before being moved to the other sub surface lines in S7 formation. You do occasionally see an S8-1 but its still an S8 train. Matthew
