  1. Yep Lots of others too which is annoying as I build model ships too so sometime the parts I need could be in one of these shops. Narrow minded and a complete mis understanding or ability to do a simple export to the EU is Beyond me. ah well their loss. There's always addresspal nice up in Mayo these days?
  2. Cork City Railways have some great stuff about in the last century with some fab road running, I was too born too late to see the street running the but remember the tracks being in situ for agesn and across the opposite side of the river more rai lines still in situ Then and now, The Tracks in the 80's were still there to be walked on....Shop is long gone too.
  3. Howes Models For instance, Only UK postage option. =
  4. There Could be a chance this might be stopped, Vat and processing charged. However my GT3 and some other High Value Purchased merrily sailed in from the UK and past the checks and into my house in Cork without paying a cent extra. These Came via the Postal service and not a courier looking to squeeze anything they can out of you. I stopped using Kernow some time back due to their Stupid way of charging my card for a pre order and then re-debiting my Credit card thus costing me more Money in the Long run, It took 3-4 to re-debit and changes in the exchange rate cost me some valuable money so I moved now to Rails. So Fingers Crossed this happens to you too and it come through without any hassle.
  5. Man Alive there ARE some Fantastic photographs of ordinary scenes but amazingly interesting.
  6. Sweet! going from strength to strength on this one.
  7. Dying no, Shrinking perhaps. Hence all the model shops that have closed over the years,
  8. Very well done too and worth the Trophy or is it the cake that was in the box you get to eat!
  9. Wow! Great Announcement. Met my expectations easily, now Looking forward to buying all this new stuff. Well done Bachman etc etc.
  10. These Price are off the wall. Helps me cut down my model railway spending though which is fine as I have enough at this stage. That Bog though, could almost smell it through the computer screen.
  11. Looks like you are having fun Noel. Will you be weathering down the track a bit?
  12. Tis Called Enterprise kid. I sold a loco for €350 recently, Cost me €120, You cant get them anywhere so price is driven up. Some lad offered me €250.00 by Email before the bidding ended. I turned it down. What would you of done sold it at the lower price?
  13. Crikey a Modeller!! Well done that man!
  14. Dunno why they still make targets for Aircraft, With all the sensors they have it make camo pretty pointless. Looks Cool Though.
  15. Hope he gave the tracks a good scrub after running that awful loco
  16. Hardly a Myriad Surely. Tad Dramatic per Chance?
  17. I suspect the Steps will need to be removed for Curves running?
  18. Hello Ray, The intital outlay is a bit high but you will have the stuff forever. You can get a cheap enough radio these days and it will do you for Boats and Aeroplanes. I don't have anything fancy, Simple 6 channel Specturm Radio that can bind to my aeroplanes and Boats so I don't need a radio for each model, Just pop in a receiver. The Unit can store I think about 10 models on it. https://www.spektrumrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdId=SPMR6610 All you need is a Servo, Speed Controller, Battery and receiver and away you go.
  19. nice one, With all the OO Stuff I have built up I could have a nice rake or two of O gauge stuff and like you say, keep it nice and simple too! Good Luck with what ever you do!
  20. Is there not a Channel Switch on the tranny, Some of these do have them so you can run a say 3 models at the same time?
  21. With Salty Water you need to check the prop shaft wont cease with the salt water.
  22. I did one for my Dad, G Gauge. Laid it at ground level at the time he could get that low, Sickness hit and it is basically out of use as his back is preventing he stooping. So if I was doing one again, make is raised and on stilts, No Weeds will take over, Cleaning will be made easier too which was a right pain in the butt to get sorted everytime we needed running. Some nice OO garden layouts there but If I stated again it would be O given the RTR stuff out there now. I live in Ireland so I opted to lay on Concrete brick as the damp would eat the wood in no time at all.
  23. Cheers Mr Master, I have Card glue which is also PVA Diluted, I can always wash it off too, Great idea I see a tab into the body one at least but I only had a quick fondle at lunchtime so did not get to give it a right ol look over to see whats what. Must be the massive temperatures in Ireland we are getting that expanded the metal
  24. Just had a play at lunch time and notice the Footplate on booth sides has buckled due to fit? any one have similar of try a fix, I dont fancy trying to get a bead of Superglue under that, one slip and the finish will be ruined other wise runs and sounds very nice!
  25. Nice one, Who's that knocking at the door and all that! Its the Postie Straight in from Brexitville with no hassle! Tks KR!
