  1. I wonder what tier one status actually gets you now, the CHANCE that one day if Hornby Do find a Unicorn you MIGHT get one (Sorry we cancelled your chance, we've sold all the chances in our online shop so non are available. Unless YOU want to buy a chance in our shop ???)
  2. I think you should look at the point your making from the other side. . The new releases ARENT arriving, they are being cancelled or cut drastically so Hornby are surely breaching any contract, in spirit if not in law

  4. Thats absolutely fine, but whats the point in the DPS email telling me its despatched and GIVING me THAT tracking number to track it then ? It's for THEM to claim if it doesn't get delivered and signed for by me 🙃
  5. In the black Z21 It should be in the App under Settings/ Z21 settings but in the white z21 you cant change the track voltage
  6. Yup email from DPS to say my order has shipped. Although it says 9008 shipped Im Assuming as per their instructions, and my attached note when paying the Balance they are ACTUALLY shipping 55015 as per original deposit. . . I'll let you know when it arrives, hopefully tomorrow, although the tracking for Royal mail is as much use as a chocolate fireguard " Your item had been posted at a post office. As you've used our Royal mail Signed for service the next update you will see is AFTER we've attempted to deliver to the recipient." Erm I AM the recipient so what frigging use is that to me ? 🤣
  7. Left Arm. . . . . . . .Right Arm. . . . . .big empty space in the middle. Until someone did the figures and realized you can't keep taking orders and sell 500 models direct (1000...?) And Also supply 500 Models to your retail outlets, when you've only ordered 500 in the first place

I know you have said it's only a small number involved in Warranty claims but As the question will almost certainly crop up, I'll ask it now :- Obviously those who ordered direct contact yourselves, but those who ordered from DPS, Locomotion etc, Do they contact those suppliers ? Who will then arange free pickup and return ? OR contact you guys direct stating order numbers and supplier involved so that YOU will organise pickup and return ? Just asking cos someone will, and I THOUGHT I had seen someone say they had been told to contact the Retail supplier involved. Would be good to have a definitive answer

Posted the below comments in the Duplo thread but think its just as appropriate here :- "I was chatting with a tier one stockist a few weeks ago who said they have quite frankly 'given up' on Hornby. They no longer take pre orders from customers for Hornby Items as the only time they know what allocation they will ACTUALLY recieve, is when the invoice hits them a couple of days before delivery. They will add you to a list, make absolutely no promises, and will start contacting customers once stock is in the shop to say yay or Nay. I also noticed while in the shop that the displays have changed drastically, Bachmann, Accurascale and other manufacturers/ supplier's display space has increased and Hornby's has shrunk by two thirds and seamed to be mainly scenics, wagon sets and carriages with few Locos. They are actively promoting those other suppliers/ manufacturers. Sad to say I think Hornby are doing themselves no favours with these retailers who are having to watch a mainstream manufacturer/ Distributor cut into their livelihood, take away profit and still expect them to act as a local ' shop window' and promoter of Hornby products."

Accurascale Class 55 Support Page, If it doesn't load first time refresh the page https://www.accurascale.com/pages/support#reamaze#0#/kb/class-55-deltic There you will find the manual and some of the frequently asked support questions plus answers Edit to Add, it can take a few moments to load the page, If it doesn't load then hit re load or put your finger on the central grey ' Support ' and drag down ( tablets etc) You should see a few wavy lines under the Grey ' Support' as it loads in HTH

  13. Daft thought, could it be down to different controllers and power supplies ? Some putting out more umph to the layout ? Anyone had two 55's on the same layout with differing responses on start up ? Which would blow my theory out the water ? Ok would probably need to be either two sound or two non sound to test properly

  15. Sash window weights can be had cheap enough and sash cord, your difficulty is getting a Ballance with the varying weights of your cassettes/ rolling stock
  16. Or use both ! Drive with the wired and use functions through the tablet/ smartphone, if same loco is selected on both, both can work it 🤓

  19. Mine was for the same 55015 but I THINK the pay balance is generic and by adding your original order number in the notes, it allows DPS to tie your balance payment to your SPECIFIC original deposit.

Another +1 for the BLACK Z21 ( more features than the white so depending on future use, worth the extra pennies) A versatile unit, GUI, touch screen on tablet or phone with click and select rather than buttons. Functions again are click and sellect for latch/ non Latching and select from a range of icons to set each up, then those functions show up as clickable Icons on the side of the throttle when the relevent loco is selected, loco selection is via a series of small photos listed in either a line accross the bottom of the throttle page or a grid, depending on your choice, so quick and easy to select and switch between locos. You can set up a device with a limited roster if you are letting children loose on your layout so they can ONLY drive the locos that you choose to load in. And you can watch and instantly take control/ shut down each loco OR the full layout from YOUR device/ Throttle. Also able to connect to JMRI via ethernet. Updates for the Software for both the APP and the Z21 unit over the internet when updates are released rather than sending the unit off for updating. Had mine a few years now and very pleased with it

Info kindly supplied by Tom when I asked the same in the 55 Topic Go the the shop page and scroll till you see either Dcc ready balance or Sound balance, pay the balance and include your original deposit order number and any other info you wish, in the 'Add note' BEFORE you hit the final pay ( Thanks again Tom)
  22. Between skype accounts yes, but AFAIA you need either a subscription or credit to call a landline or mobile, unless they have changed it ? Any idea what Skype address DPS are on ? Edit to Add, I'm sorted anyway so a pointless discussion clogging up the thread methinks 😋. I'm out
