Not a complaint, more an enquiry. Has anyone heard ANYTHING from DPS ? I have a pre order with them but have had no request for final payment and no response to an enquiry posted via the Website. Was trying to email but when you click on email it opens your client but DOESN'T fill in their email address ( the email via the website goes to their sales person who hasn't answered) I'm stuck in the middle of a Forest with internet but no phone signal so cant ring em until the weekend 🤬 Anyone ?

If you don't win it drop me a PM and I might be able to help. I'm sure I have at least one maybe two that have been carefully stored ( chucked in the bottom of) a box of old tat. They MIGHT even have been runners when they were ' carefully' packed away 🤗 and they have no historical value or childhood memories attached for me

I think I saw earlier replies from the boys saying that RoW orders would start to be sent out last Monday once UK had been finished but that EU were being sent out via Ireland ? So I would imagine EU orders will have been sorted, palletised and shipped out to Ireland for onward delivery. I'm sure Fran will deny/ confirm once hes managed another coffee 👌

If it's the coupling causing the issue on tight curves and S bends, I'm wondering if a set of Hunt couplings might be a fix ? If nothing else works ? Might be worth investigating

Are you able to narrow it to a certain model/ number ? Or is it spread across a range of numbers. I've 9004 sound version sitting awaiting a test run when I return home at the end of next week and was wondering if its a possible candidate ? 🤪

Before this descends into a ' he said she said" slanging match can I just observe ? I've followed this thread from the off and since these models started being despatched we have seen comments about, 1 model ? With marks on the paint a few steps and other teeny tiny bits falling off, chain gate, and a discussion about the quality of the sound with opinions both for and against. No wrong shaped noses ( although a few slightly out of joint - NOT on the models 😋) no grills in the wrong place, no ride too low too high etc etc add infinitum. We have a stunning model, we have genuine reports of MINOR issues, Some of which Accurascale are already addressing and we seam to have many many delighted new owners ! ( I'm one) Please lets not descend into arguing and chest beating ? Enjoy your models, keep posting the minor issues as this only Helps AC going forward, kiss, make up (ok skip that part) and celebrate what they HAVE delivered 👌

More observation than faith. 1>4 are more generally carried out under the eyes of the customer or Management and are more GENERALLY treated gently due to observation. Transport via hubs is normally in larger vehicles and driven on motorways so not ' slung about' in increasingly emptying vans. 5 is the worst of the process and the one I prefer to negate if possible ? Anyway back to the Deltics. . . . .

1) picked up under the eyes of the customer, due to number probably on a pallet 2) unloaded at hub and sorted to 'areas' under the eyes of supervisors and bosses 3) loaded onto pallets or cages for transport in trailer to re!avent hub for final delivery 4) unloaded and sorted for delivery ( bosses watching) 4A) placed on shelf in customer collection area 5) loaded on small van with someones car parts thrown on top then driven round and round like an excocet at 90 miles an hour, taking corners on two wheels, by some nutjob trying to make up time as hes late out with too many deliveries ( been there, done that, never again thanks) My choice if possible as a customer is always 4A 🤪 Sorry ! Not meaning to give those still waiting palpatations ! I'm sure yours will be handled like a delacate egg 😆

I think we are at a bit of an empasse. Some want models that are highly accurate and detailed to the Nth degree. I want a model that is accurate and can run without worrying about tiny bits of detail that I can hardly see pinging off when I handle it. Accurascale and other manufacturers are damned if they do and damned if they don't ! I will simply remove (or lose) any bits that hinder running or drop off and enjoy what is IMHO a stunning model with sound, at a competitive price. Whats the Answer to satisfy both markets ? Is there one ? Maybe a model with less small bits factory fitted and an ' addon' super detail pack that can be purchased as an extra OR supplied but not fitted ? So those who wish can add as much as they wish ? Yes you will probably still get complaints from those who want super detail display models, who will hardly ever run them and think everything should be attached and arrive in perfect condition, But maybe a silent majority of the thousands of customers MIGHT actually be happy with less detailed bits to 'ping' off when they just want to run them ? I don't know the answer, Personally I don't think anyone Does ! Oh and before I get shot down yes this is my own thoughts and yes there could EQUALLY be thousands of those customers who DO want all that super detail, factory fitted and a foolproof solution to bits pinging off when you handle them, at the same price JMHO

When you get the DHL notification email you should see the option to track or change your delivery option. One of the options is to collect from the Hub yours is being delivered from. You then get to choose a day for collection, from 8AM to 8 PM. Be warned though, they DO say that if you don't collect on that chosen day they will return the parcel. It means you arent having to wait in for a delivery and can collect anytime in that 12 hour period AND your not getting it chucked about in a small Van 🤪

Unboxed for a quick visual check over. 'plain Jane' 9004 is a thing of beauty with great detail. Paintwork is fine, crisp, no marks or blemishes. As with others, three 'teeny tiny' pieces loose in the packaging which I can hardly see, let alone stick back on and as mine is for running not display the 'bits' will be left of and stored safely in the packaging. Two chains hanging loose on the bogies so I might just pop em all off and store them as well. Otherwise almost a certainty with my rough handling they will 'ping off' into never never land 😆 All in all a stunning model which I can't wait to get running and hear the ROAR Great Job Accurascale and a big thumbs up from me 👌

Went to the DHL hub near me to collect 9004 sound version ( what ? I'm not trusting some scruffy delivery driver to drop it at the wriong address ! ;-) After a longish delay the young lady came out and apologised profusely as she had been unable to find my parcel. 😵 The code in the tracking information on her system was telling her to look for. . . . A large Letter ! Luckily she was quickly followed out by a strapping young ladd lugging a great big box 🤗 Now how can I get rid of Teh Mrs for an hour. . Or three so I can drool in peace ?

AFAIA you can connect to the Z21 black via Windows using jmri and its built in throttle, using an ethernet cable ? But this ISNT using the App so you do have to set up a separate Roster in jmri and use Panel pro if you want to change points etc. Maybe as Windows 11 evolves to allow the use of Android Apps this might change

Go to the email, click on the attachment, click on download then click on open, open with z21 app and then I THINK it's the first option :- Import and ?? Select or set ? Can't remember exactly how it's worded. You should then have it as your selected layout. If you choose to just import, you should see it as one of the layouts that can be selected. The Import from SD card seams to be bugged but it COULD just be that the settings need tweaking to point to your download folder on the SD card HTH

I would check out car body fillers. You can get them for filling metal and as your doing a larger scale model they would probably be more cost effective than those sold for wargaming ?

No it was fine ! I wandered past at one point but you were stood chinwagging to what I assume was one of the guest operators and all seamed calm and serene so I carried on and enjoyed what was a good show 👌 I live in Scotland so shout out if you end up at Glasgow again and need a hand
