    Teaky's attic

Can I ask why you've protected the ends of the cable's in this way. Usually just coil them up and tuck them inside the box.
  2. Where's the 'Awww ' button?
  3. Fairly certain Short circuit bars have been done away with. Even if not, last thing you'd want is people walking past just as you 'connect ' Personally I think the main question is, why was it there for 3 hours and nothing done. The BTP have a small office on the station, the Electrical control is just yards away and a station with at least 6 staff. The staff mess room, office faces towards the train in question.
  4. I know that section of track pretty well, there's virtually no cess on that side of the train, about the width of troughing plus a foot if that, at the top of a very steep bank. Lewisham Electrical Control and sub station are at the bottom of the bank.

Agree, glad I don't use them, some are really poor light levels.

    Teaky's attic

And Phil beat me to it, a lot of my customers ( I'm an electrician ) have been going with variations on the led strip lighting. It makes a 'smoother' light especially in kitchens and bathrooms, the drivers can be hidden almost anywhere.

  14. Can't see the detritus that rubbish must be in they way
  15. The eBay photo looks to have been taken next to the lamp post in question and at a different time, there's a sign or advertisement board missing on the left.
  16. I believe that it is attached, the arm seems to have a weight on the left hand end. Yes , the yard was as you say, behind the photographer.
  17. We really do need a Groan button

  19. I do remember as a kid ( that's going back a bit! ) the circus train would bring Billy Smarts animals to Blackheath, there's a photo of camel's being lead up the high street kicking around on the internet.
  20. Whilst looking for background info, 1950's/60's track layout for Blackheath station in SE London, I came across this photo. Pre 3rd rail, so guessing 1920's maybe. Anyone have any photo's of similar oddly mounted signal's As an aside, if anyone has photo's or track diagrams, what was in the large yard there? Had heard that 12 coach summer specials were berthed there before returning to the coast to collect passengers. https://boroughphotos.org/lewisham/blackheath-station-8/
  21. Dear Sir Our mistake, the 2 sets of instructions we sent you, one was for building a loco, the other for a central heating system. Please accept our apologies.
