  1. Truly amazing workmanship there Peter.
  2. They look like coffee beans, the reaction is probably to the caffeine hit
  3. I was told ( when I used to live there ) that this was a long term siding for this weed killing train, made up of CCT/PMV and L1 tenders. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bb0363-Blackheath-Railway-Station-London-in-1962-photograph-6x4/362986794337?hash=item5483b2ed61:g:l7UAAOSwSzdXBLue
  4. Thanks John, I stand corrected. I'd only heard that the guys there had the unusual containers so put 2 and 2 together and got 5
  5. Have a look at the Quorn wagon & wagon website, I believe they have 3 of the 5 that were built

    Off making exchanges somewhere?
  8. Quite fancy one of those, looks good. Wonder if a new Jinty chassis would fit. The other loco I'd like to have a go at upgrading is an L1.
  9. The Southern had an S class 0-6-0 saddle tank, if I remember rightly.

It appears in 4 of the photo's, admittedly laying at the side and not on the loco.
  12. You wouldn't half get a shock if you tried to make a call on that 'phone
  13. Hi Ross. Yes, looking bloomin good mate, I can hear the guy with the beret saying '' no,no, you want 2 bridges and 45 beats'' followed by a shout of NOW!

  15. On the Standard ( or Gallows ) there's a peg, on the strap holding the bag below is a hole, as the strap is placed on the peg a shaped piece of metal acts as a catch. On the Traductor arm, there is a similar arrangement but this has a snap down catch to hold it in place and just to make sure that the catch doesn't come open, it's tied with 'hairy ' string, this gives the right type of break when the pouches are being dropped off. That's me, hanging up the pouches, towards the end of the video.
  16. Tamiya do a 2mm wide tape that's curved, tho' looking at it, it's a bit 'wavey ' ( and it's a masking tape ) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TAMIYA-Masking-Tape-for-Curves-2mm-3mm-5mm-12mm-20m-roll-Choose/401299481009?epid=2255082957&hash=item5d6f5021b1:g:IGwAAOSw-RFahC6v

I like the 2 bits of Bachmann track they have. 1 priced at 12 quid the other at 12.99, must be something a bit more special with that one.
  20. Could try this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-12V-0-6RPM-High-torque-Turbo-Worm-Electric-Geared-DC-Motor-GW370-Low-Speed/402358129857?hash=item5dae69d4c1:g:GfEAAOSwkC5fMkQA
