  1. The Hereford models site really is a gold mine for bargains. I just managed to pick up a DJM J94 for £81. They had a few different liveries available as well. http://herefordmodels.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=340_350_527 Also noticed class 105 in green for £83 and Bachmann wagons starting at 7.95 for box vans and open wagons. Picked up a few of the box vans myself, be rude not to at them prices. http://herefordmodels.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=340_350_355_357&products_id=11673 http://herefordmodels.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=369_370_377_387_391&page=1&sort=3a
  2. Hi mate i work in a post office with drop and go you just leave the parcels and go. You don't need to queue as it defeats the object. We then process them when we get chance between customers. Youll have an online account and all your tracking number appear online for you. What was the weight of your track you sent? Was it in a normal parcel size?
  3. Thank goodness for that. I was looking for some PL-10 fishplates and couldn't find any. Looking on ebay reveals some model shops trying to charge well over a tenner a pack. One of which I used to use on a regular basis for ebay purchases. Not anymore. Same goes for the shops who tried ripping people off with a single bog roll for a quid or hand gel for a tenner a bottle.
  4. They've got them in Tesco but not as nice as the ones I normally get from the oatcake shop in fenton
  5. I sent mine back as it was broken on arrival as well. I really don't like the packing that Dapol used on the model. Hattons packing was ok and they sorted the return no issue at all PS is your cab handrail ski whiff
  6. Flext track turned up today only ordered Monday evening. Cheers folks
  7. Chuffed you still had some code 100 flexi in. Ordered some
  8. It was a left and a right hand streamline code 100 point and 3 or 4 lengths of flexi
  9. Ive luckily managed to get hold of some peco points and flexi track in O gauge. Hattons had the points in and ive managed to get flexi from kernow. Normally for stuff like flexi id use my local shop but needs must.
  10. Just ordered my 14xx. Ive gone for 1444. Ive gone for the normal DC version as I have a spare imperium decoder which is most likely what they are fitted with anyhow. Thinking about sound decoders. Bearing in mind id have to use a 21 to 8 pin adaptor do you think a Hornby TTS decoder would fit? Im not after a 100% accurate soundfile just something that sounds like a steam loco. Ive used a Hornby TTS chip in a class 08 the only downside being not all the lights work. Obviously this isn't an issue with a steam loco.
  11. Hi andy great layout im really impressed. May I ask how long the sector plate needs to be to fit your ivatt and the coach on it? Also is it part of the overall 9ft length or is it extra?
  12. Wow as you say an awesome layout and only using 3 points. Plenty of operational interest as well. Its certainly got my brain fizzing away
  13. My baseboard is approx 9ft x 3ft I want to build an o scale layout to run mainly smaller locos and possibly a Dapol 121 when they arrive. Features id like are small runaround and a siding or 2 for shunting, smallish platform long enough for the DMU Ive had a playaround with anyrail and im struggling to come up with anything. Id like to use the peco points, preferably the electrofrogs. Can anyone help please
  14. Hi are the o gauge electrofrog points modified in the same way as the 00 gauge ones when using DCC? Can I still use a DCC80 autofrog with them?
  15. Might still be worth a call mate
  16. If you want to see a bad review see the one sams trains did on the Heljan 1361 tank loco
  17. when I was last in trident trains he had some in. Hes in the shop Wednesday to sunday and is still doing mail order
  18. Does it keep adding 2 to the basket by any chance or randomly adding extras?
  19. Ive had deliveries this week from Rails of Sheffiled, Track Shack and Gaugemaster. All received within a week of ordering. I had to order from more than one shop as no single shop had all the items I wanted in stock particularly peco points and metcalfe kits.
  20. Hi all Which decoders are recommended for the DJM 14xx and J94? Cheers
  21. Now in stock at rails of sheffiled https://railsofsheffield.com/news/articles/3351-Dapol-o-14xx-48xx-and-58xx
  22. Brilliant, I normally holiday in primrose valley and we come to Whitby to travel on the NYMR. I could drop my loco off on the Monday and pick it up either later in the day or on the Friday on way home.
