  1. Didn't see you edited your post so I didn't get a notification asking for the link. Is it under the 'Blogs' section on my profile. regards Darryl
  2. On the Rylstone and Arcow flows, basically anything goes. The Tarmac HYAs, the NACCO HYAs, the blank HYAs, the VTG HHAs
  3. I know it is, like I said I have done a blog about it cutting one down into the VTG HHA
  4. these are HYAs with RIV(?) numbering. I don't think it would take much to remove the NACCO transfer etc and hopefully Steve at Railtec will make some renumbering packs
  5. quick easy to be honest, I've done a blog about it on RM web
  6. model of PG004A with end steps at both ends. Also going to make one with the end steps at one end only.
  7. cheers Guy, it was the ARC PG006Bs that I was after, I could see the distributor below the solebar but on the pictures i've managed to see i couldn't see the air tank anywhere, so was guessing it's hidden somewhere underneath. Regarding the colour of the tops of the wagon, on the pictures on your thread it is mustard where the airtanks and distributor sit on the chassis but on the pictures I shared it is grey. So I'm guessing thery were either repainted or it's stone dust. I've also noticed on your pictures the above solebar air tanks and distributors are mustard but on the pictures I have shared they are grey/black, so guessing the replacements when the wagons had maintenance / reapirs, weren't painted. I'm after the time period the 59s arrived and the wagons started to receive CAIB branding so it maybe a mixture of both. i may just go for mustard as that is what they alread are and save's doing more painting regards darryl
  8. I'm trying to find out if the top of the wagons were either painted mustard or grey? The pictures on the Mendips Industrial thread (and your pictures in the Whatley thread) show them to be painted mustard. So either the wagons in the pictures above have been re-painted grey or it is an accumulation of stone dust. Also, on wagon designation PG006B I notice the brake distributor is underneath at the non-handbrake wheel end. Was the air tank underneath too or hidden under the end covers? cheers darryl
  9. thanks for the reply mate and for the links etc, some cracking pictures on there. I'm modelling the mid to late 90s, when the 59's pulled the Yeoman and ARC PGA's in mixed rakes and the CAIB leasing logos started to apper on the wagons. I'm modelling: PG003A, 004A, 006B, 013B, 013D Regarding the grey query, I'm not meaning the bodyside, I mean the top of the chassis, i.e. the area in the pictures in the links at the end of the wagon below the steps / under the cover / where the pipes go through the chassis to underneath. Were they painted mustard or grey? they look grey in the images below but that could just be years of stone dusy? Regards Darryl
  10. Been reading this thread with interest as I have 16 PGAs which I am modelling. I have a mixture of lima and Hornby wagons in yeoman and ARC liveries. I'm just about to put the lima hopper onto the Hornby chassis. Was the top of the chassis on the ARC PGAs grey or mustard? The only pictures I have seen showing this is from late 90s / early 2000s and they look grey, but that could just be an accumulation of stone dust. Regards Darryl
  11. Regarding the ARC mustard yellow, was it not possible to contact Hanson and ask for the livery RAL colours? regards Darryl
  12. it was from a well known retailer who i have seen at many model rail shows
  13. unfortunately not. The seller said that there was a mistake on ebay and it had listed more than what they said they had in stock. I told them that they were lieing as the product wasn't due to be released for many months and suddenly the listings were removed regards darryl
  14. Cheers for the information. When you mentioned FY and ARC joining forces and new livery I thought it would be the MRL livery. Didn't realise the revised liveries were after earlier the joining of forces between FY & ARC. Interesting that it looks like 59002 in MRL livery is behind.
  15. The wagon behind the JHA is actually a PHA/JYA wagon Regards Darryl
  16. Am not sure what livery. I'm sure all 59/0s received the revised Yeoman livery, and im sure all 59/1s received the revised ARC livery. Only 59002 received the Mendip Rail Livery Regards Darryl
  17. Many thanks Fran, I will be in touch to amend my order as I'm only after the later style many thanks Darryl
  18. that's what I was thinking. Couldn't think off the top of head what other liveries they had, so it would be strange to just do one livery. Will have to get in touch with them to amned my order.
  19. @Accurascale Fran will you be doing the wagons in the Yeoman Livery as per the picture in the inital press release? (The revised livery with the additional 'Y' logo)? many thanks Darryl
  20. Because I've been close to both in the flesh and I couldn't see anything major so was asking incase I was blind to something obvious like wagon length etc. If someone did the transfers I would paint some IKAs maroon. Cheers Darryl
  21. To my untrained eye there doesn't look to be much in them.
  22. I should have said working from Rylstone Quarry. However 'working' would mean carrying a commodity or working empty, whereas 'in convoy' would mean a wagon move to a yard etc
  23. that's a fair point, but I thought it would be obvious since we are in a thread about hopper wagons and talking about hopper wagons.
  24. looks great mate. Unfortunately the NP HKA's never worked behind the NP 59. When NP 59s hauled the wagons they were JMA's and had different bogies. When the JMA's were re-bogied and re-coded HKA's the 59's were in EWS livery
