  1. Still number 4? 67004 with a Northern Cumbrian Coast service to Barrow
  2. Only DRS liveried examples had the livery and nameplate issues. 68014 is a Chiltern loco so shouldn't have any issues. Hattons are usually extremely helpful and if you have any doubts, just email or message then on the site and they should be able to let you know.
  3. Hope these help, if you are planning a layout then good luck. Not my photos, but give a good view of the general layout. Taken before the new stores building was built. https://www.flickr.com/photos/16143887@N05/7765957326/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/16143887@N05/7765959476/ Inside the main shed Inside the lifting shed The fuel point shed with the old stores building on the left (brick building). The lifting shed is the largest building on the left which is on the end of the main shed (visible behind). Behind the fuel point/shed is the new stores building. and another view of the fuel point/shed with the main shed in the background.

  5. Don’t be silly. How would the driver see which way to steer? 37407 at Crewe Gresty Bridge. More interior train shots.
  6. It’s the Branchline Society’s brakevan ‘Molly’ used for tours on the day. Was originally a 20T Ferry Van. https://www.branchline.uk/photo.php?id=292&pid=769&seq=18
  7. A pretty substantial drop facing any train that goes too far. An internal Shunter at Hanson Cement in Clitheroe. More ends of the line please.
  8. DB/EWS 66s have been on both the Clitheroe and Ketton flows and now are both GBRf operated with many colourful 66s now at the front. Although it’s your railway and I understand the Clitheroe contract very nearly went to Colas to there is no reason there couldn’t be a 60 on it.
  9. Good stuff, DRS traction can also be seen up front of the GBRf branded wagons on runs on the Settle-Carlisle, Cumbrian Coast and bits of the WCML with stone for Drigg Low Level Nuclear Waste Storage.
  10. Mmmm, they do look good. Painted samples on their site http://www.revolutiontrains.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Ealnos_painted_samples.jpg Early price is £37.50 per wagon I believe one of the flows into Dove Holes quarry at Peak Forest can be 20+ MMAs.
  11. Happy Black Five Day. #BlackFivesMatter

  12. That something interesting has already been announced. A prototype model with working valve gear built as a test for a model of well known green A3.
  13. I guess it’s that time of year for hints of announcements of announcements.

Very sad indeed. Where did you hear this? I assume it will stay there as a fuel point but it fuel will just not be added by train. With everything up there (Caledonian Sleeper, Alcan freight, Royal Scotsman) all with GBRf traction, locos are often swapped around so maybe they are just refueled at Mossend or Polmadie then? I’m not sure if the ScotRail 156s use it at all?
  15. I was concentrating, I’m just not very good at it. I’m still having nightmares about those double slips..... Seriously the layout performed great as ever and the compliments where flowing in.
  16. Ohhh, it does look good in the dark with all the lighting. Looking forward to the show.
  17. Just passed Polmaide by train and it looks as if about half the fleet have had branding applied with large bodyside ‘antlers’. Similar to the new livery applied to the Mk2s. Probably also worth mentioning the entire fleet of Mk5s have been banned from Network Rail following a concern about the saftey of the bogies. This includes TPE Mk5As. Edit: I understand this ban has been lifted and TPE test runs/driver training has continued with the coaches, rather than just a 68.
  18. Interesting video of an RHTT rescuing a Freight at Ribblehead. https://twitter.com/railcamlive/status/1054822504433356805?s=21
  19. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DqLHFjUW4AAjFtk?format=jpg&name=large Interesting TPE Mk5As are carrying their EVN number as well as TOPS number.
  20. Until a recent ScotRail timetable change, many ScotRail operated West Highland Line stations were request stops for the ScotRail service but a timetabled stop for the Caledonian Sleeper

From what I understand reading between the lines, ATW were trying to run a service with one hand tied behind their backs. I don't suppose it helped that gubbermint withdrew the finances for the Valleys and west of Cardiff electrification.

  23. The wagons carrying Submarine reactor cores are 'KUA' wagons, they mainly run between Devonport and Sellafield. https://www.flickr.com/photos/johndedman/8494660079/ The wagon in the photo is actually an 'IQA' wagon. Which appear to run from Dollands Moor to Sellafield via Crewe Coal. Honestly no idea what's in them (although I imagine that is the point). Flickr seems to suggest they carry French Nuclear Fuel to Sellafield (but from where?) https://www.flickr.com/photos/locohunter/5543031788/ https://gingespotting.smugmug.com/Wagons/I-TOPSCode/IQA/i-qzHNc42
