  1. Matching trousers and car doors - wonder why that never caught on? Or maybe VW had a go with the "jeans" beetle.
  2. Where's the "LUST" button when you need one?
  3. Assuming that it can be kept away from ravenous budgies. Sorry.......
  4. So you are doing the "vinyl wrap" but in miniature! To say I'm impressed is an understatement!
  5. I was wondering how long before "choke the budgie" got that response Time to let the thread get back to the excellent layout "Cwm Pysor".....
  6. Personally I blame the re-runs of "Knight Rider"
  7. i used 3-in-1 oil which still worked but smelled terrible. I'm surprised I didn't choke the budgie.
  8. You usually can download the instructions on line (assuming you don't need it to go online in the first place). The installation software should be there too. You can use it with a z21 / Z21 but it needs some sort of access card to do that. My z21 came with the router already set up.
  9. As I get the digital edition do I have to 3D print my own figures?
  10. One of our neighbours just got a Tesla 3 as his last car and it's very impressive! He wasn't impressed when I called it a "TWSMO". Or a "That Will See Me Out".......
  11. Yes. ESU micro chip just fits inside the cab. http://www.esu.eu/en/products/lokpilot/lokpilot-micro-v40/. There was even room to put the top half of a driver in there as well. I have a Preiser shunting person glued on the front platform as well.
  12. I would probably build a new chassis as the few of these in my collection are getting close to 30 years old and the gears are falling apart. Even if they have not been run very much. A bit like me....
  13. Don't forget the box of boiled sweets and a Thermos of tea.
  14. I just assumed that this was for the German readers...
  15. Thanks for sharing! Will check it out too.
  16. Yes I have got that impression from other posts . I guess they are only a small company.
  17. She's making cold soldering joints.
  18. I use Google translate on my iPhone to deal with instruction sheets. It seems to translate on the fly as you look at the phone screen!
  19. 56 quid is almost certainly below cost. Sometimes slow selling stock has to be liquidated simply to free up some capital and space. But not something you want to do regularly!
  20. I used ordinary PVA "school glue" to glue my Tillig trackbed in place. Just a squeeze along the side in a few places and it holds well enough on my portable layout. Best of all it is easy to break the joint if you have to lift the track (which I had to in order to get at a hidden capacitor!)
  21. Seconded about traction tyres - especially when they get old and mankey and tend to fall off / break up. Can't always get spares either although some locos run happily without them despite the groove in the wheel. Good luck with your new hobby!
  22. Time to fit another DCC chip!

  23. That's a really sad sight. To think that once that was a very expensive bespoke car. Is that the ground you can see through the holes in the boot? Looks like a pile of ferrous oxides in the approximate shape of a Bristol.
  24. What an excellent way to do stonework! I'm stealing that idea!
