  1. Superb build Stuart! I would be be pleased with it with or without weathering. There is nothing to be dissapointed about, a little roughness is OK it adds character. Painted metal structures never look perfect especially after a repaint or two!! Again great modeling Best Steve

  8. Hi Iain, looking at the pic in Ken Hooles book and comparing 955 to 950 the only big difference is the cab. So my thought is did 955 change the sand box's at the same time as the cab? Don't know the answer but hopefully a bloke more cleverer than me will All the best Steve
  9. Have you thought of trying sepia with fogged edges? For the older stock it might not work with the railcar Best Steve

  11. I say old chap scramble the squadron leader on the Sabbath. Just not on, newspaper to read, afternoon nap to have not to mention a small gin. Besides the Colonel and wife would not be amused with the noise from low flying aircraft. Bad form and all that. All the best Steve

  18. Midland wagons are covered in books by R J Essery. I think there were two volumes. I only have volume one tho. Peter taplows wagon books are very good too. A one source book for wagons would be like war and peace and take two men to lift it lol. For private owner wagons the books by Mr Hudson are very useful. Lots of other authors too, try looking at second hand at shows All the best steve

  21. With elf and safety in mind I hope tied off the ladder in a workman like manner and used a roof crawler to ascend to your vantage point. Hard hat goes without saying and a safety line might be a good idea. We would hate to hear you had fallen off! All the best Steve Great pic too!!
  22. Thanks mike that's where the confusion occurred, rhythm versus poet Steve
