Class 92, By Accurascale
Darius43 replied to Accurascale Fran's topic in Accurascale / Irish Railway Models
I am also a DJM Class 92 crowdfunder but am fully aware of the risks involved. I think the risks associated with the latter venture have just got somewhat worse and so have ordered an Accurascale Class 92. As they say: “Life is tough in the aluminum siding business”. Darius -
I see the “nice plump orange” has been relisted. Nice Plump Orange Wonder if it’s the same one... Cheers Darius PS I see no one has bought the well worn socks either.

Good advice to wait for the glue flumes to clear, however If the glazing does mist up it can be “cleared” by brushing on Johnson’s Klear (or whatever it is called now). Old model aircraft canopy technique - also makes “tired” glazing clearer. Cheers Darius

A fictional Eastpoint Station BR 1960's

Fantastic modelling!!! I really like the station canopies and footbridges - reminds me of Lewes Station. Cheers Darius -
Don’t you just hate it when bad things happen to good sentences?

Have Oxford got the colour wrong? In my view, yes. Have Oxford made a commercial mistake? In my view, certainly not. They have apparently sold all their production run. Well done. Will another manufacturer ride to the rescue and provide the perfect Mk3 in every respect. Most likely no. If you “hate” the colour and other issues, don’t buy them. I have some on order and will try to make the best of them, to my mind that’s what you do in this imperfect world. Cheers Darius

Critique my San Francisco terminus plan in N scale
Darius43 replied to 2TallTyler's topic in Layout & Track Design
With a single point connection of the loop I can see it being simple with DCC but perhaps not so simple with the double cross-over. I would be interested to see the wiring diagram required as it would be helpful to me as well as perhaps for the OP. Cheers Darius -
Critique my San Francisco terminus plan in N scale
Darius43 replied to 2TallTyler's topic in Layout & Track Design
Interesting layout concept. One thing that may need to be worked out is that the low level loop is a “reverse loop” and this will need some complex wiring and switching at the double cross-over at the entrance to the station. Darius -
A pair of DUKWs - the first is from a 1:48 scale resin and white metal kit. The second is a 1:50 scale repainted Solido diecast with some improvements. Cheers Darius
