Fourth Provincial Wagons flat kit constructed and finished in CIE guise with the appropriate container. Cheers Darius

I’m still waiting for a nice illustrated post on how to open up the coaches without damaging them. Too timid to be the first to try. Cheers Darius

You know, I didn’t know that. Isn’t RMWeb a wonderful place. Cheers Darius

Made a start on a bogie container flat using a spare Kirk 57’ chassis and trusses, bits of plasticard and some spare Triang bogies. Cheers Darius

Four Provincial Wagons flat car kits arrived yesterday and I have already built three of them. Weathering next. The flat car kits are fantastic - highly recommended. You get a great single piece moulded side door CIE container with them as well. Cheers Darius

Despotic and cruel regimes went for F1 to improve their image (hence Sochi, Baku and a few other races) and Bernie was happy to accommodate them - especially their cash. It’s a shame that Liberty Media is following the same path with the Qatar and Saudi GPs and quite ironic given their company name. Darius

Bonnet de douche, Rodney. Bonnet de douche. Cheers Darius

Enjoyed the second programme. Nice to see Simon K building a roundy-roundy for his grandson and Eddie Izzard reminiscing about his Dad’s experiences of winter 1940 and getting stuck in with the snow on the Bexhill on Sea model. Cheers Darius

Found in a search for MTK. It’s a fair bodge of a 4-BIG using Dublo shortie coaches. A bit wonky in places and some bits have dropped off in the cab areas. Started at 99p but is now over £180!!! Fair dos to the seller but the bidders are mad IMHO. Cheers Darius

So you have RMWeb Gold and you want adverts? To quote a RM Sergeant Major in Port Stanley in 1982: “I don’t know why we’re bothering with this lot”. Cheers Darius

Just re-read (after nearly 40 years) the 1984 article* on the incredible DMNS (Don’s Miniature New Street) layout. What became of that layout? Cheers Darius * There was also an earlier article on the DMNS in MRC as I recall.

It doesn’t take that long. Just skim through the complaining posts, the speculation the accusations and the digressions (bad track etc.) and read Andy’s (AY Mod) posts to get the actual facts of the issue. Cheers Darius

Two more Triang Hornby wagons given the treatment - new metal wheels and NEM couplings. These are the ones with the plastic chassis, which are much easier to re-wheel. The weathering (a mixture of track colour with some warning yellow) was airbrushed on to the plastic parts. When semi-dry, a flat brush with a little thinners was used to “distress” the sides. Cheers Darius

This latest discussion leads inevitably to this:- Forget Silver, I’m waiting for the Platinum membership so that I can look down on those who have mere Gold membership. Cheers Darius
