Rails of Sheffield Improved Precedent Class
Darius43 replied to AY Mod's topic in Rails of Sheffield
That means it’s DCC ready rather than DCC Fitted so you should be good to go on DC. Cheers Darius -
For transporting grey fruit presumably... Cheers Darius

Triang English Electric Type 3
Darius43 replied to Darius43's topic in Modifying & Detailing RTR stock
Hi Trailrage, The SE Finecast flush glazing has the side window frame molded on as part of the vac formed glazing insert. I used SEF flush glazing on my Type 3s and masked the frame and painted it on the SEF inserts before fitting them - having first removed the frames from the body. Cheers Darius -
I’ll give it another go later. Cheers Darius

I completed two thirds of the survey when the website said there was a problem and had to reload the page. This it did back at the beginning of the survey - so I decided I had better things to do... Cheers Darius

Locomotion Models announce 'Hardwicke' Improved Precedent Class
Darius43 replied to AY Mod's topic in Locomotion Models
On diesels I have used small dabs of low viscosity superglue and applied the nameplates with tweezers starting at one end to keep the alignment true. This is is a bingo or b******* method though so I wouldn’t recommend it for Hardwicke. The printing is so good that I am planning to leave the etched nameplates and numbers in the bag. Complex layout modelling
Darius43 replied to BR traction instructor's topic in UK Prototype Discussions (not questions!)
Wonderful stuff. My family lived in Newcastle-under-Lyme from 1967 to 1978 and I have fond memories of watching and catching trains at Stoke Station in the early 1970s. I remember the vast sidings next to the station - now vanished under a car park. Cheers Darius -

Very good, boxed condition. Apart from the cabs being upturned a little and being very cracked. The only thing possibly salvageable is the sound decoder but it alone is not worth the asking price. Cheers Darius

Mine arrived well packed and undamaged courtesy of Kernow. Cheers Darius (predictive text kept changing Kernow to Kermit)

Depot storage tanks options? 70/80s
Darius43 replied to 40034_Nick's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
Just a tad but not overly so. I did a scale calculation on the tank volume, allowing for the presence of two bottom tank halves in the bunded volume and the walls are high enough for both tanks to rupture and completely empty into the bunded space. In the final analysis it looks ok to me. Cheers Darius -
Hi Keiran, Nice weathering on those blue Taras. I received a few packs from IRM recently and they do look too vividly blue out of the box. Yours look fantastic. Cheers Darius

Depot storage tanks options? 70/80s
Darius43 replied to 40034_Nick's topic in Modelling Questions, Help and Tips
I built this using the Knightwing storage tanks kit with a bund walled enclosure built from 2mm card stock and brick paper. Cheers Darius -
By “3D Models” do you mean 3D computer “CAD” models rather than actual physical models that have been printed? If so it might be better to post your request on the “3D Printing, Laser Cutting, CAD & CNC” Forum in the Skills & Knowledge Centre. Cheers Darius

Which means that 74% do not condone it so, in my mind, that is not the indictment on society that you think it is. Cheers Darius PS - I don’t agree that Max should be driver of the day as I think he lacks integrity both as a driver and a sportsman.

He got driver of the day with 26% of the vote so not exactly an overwhelming majority. Cheers Darius

No action on the yellow flag issue say the Stewards. There may be a reprimand for impeding Mazepin. Cheers Darius
