  1. We like to feature Pendon regularly whether it be in BRM, video features online or on the DVD as a way of keeping awareness there within the hobby. I do a workshop day each year which brings in revenue to the museum as Pendon is one of the best adverts there is for the high end of the hobby.
  2. I understand the local constabulary have made an arrest overnight when the suspect was caught nudging china vases in a local antiques shop. As with anyone suspected of such misdemeanours there was complete denial that it was anything to do with him and he hadn't been anywhere near anything, ever. When shown the video evidence he did explain that he may have been comparing the colour of his elbow and his finger to the canopy so he could then go to the local model shop to purchase matching paint. He said he was always really careful when around layouts, thanked the officer for releasing him without charge, turned round and walked into the door. He was re-arrested for being clumsy and awaits a hearing at the Modellers' Court.
  3. Thanks, don't show anything which could give any clues to your details etc. The source could be someone he's emailed being infected or he's clicked on something surreptitious and it's wormed back up and out but it sounds like a weakness.
  4. May I ask how you've pinned that down as the source?
  5. The news that Mike couldn't make it may be coincidental to some more people sticking their names down.
  6. As long as everyone puts their own info in there's no problem. It's only the same as posting it on here.
  7. The problem seems to be the photographers, not the models.
  8. They were in the process but not, I don't think, where people were led to believe they were. As jjb said:
  9. 1 - I don't think we can. 2 - I'm not saying which of course but it depends what's more important at the time; the money or the model?
  10. I think that one was a user error, it was a link to the document rather than a capture/upload.
  11. We're down to the last few spots available now.
  12. Such stigma pales into insignificance compared to leaving random alien objects in shot compounded by them going unnoticed in the photoshopping process.
  13. The case being discussed there is nothing to do with DJM. It was an example shown to illustrate how a liquidator can conclude reports without full information. Starting to chuck incorrectly used words around such as 'slander' causes me to spend unnecessary time addressing the misplaced comments.
  14. Turnover should have been well above the revenue threshold for at least a couple of years.
  15. One of the casualties of the software change earlier this year was the Exhibition Layout Database which was a mess under the old software anyway. I have reconstructed this in a very simple format here - https://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/exhibition-layouts/ - this page can also be found via the Browse menu. If you wish to add your layout details including images and pertinent info as suggested please do feel free.
  16. At least you can sleep at night. You may not have masses to show for the effort but at least it wasn't at the expense of others and have a millstone to carry for years. I don't mean that to sound glib as I know just how much can be taken up by making something work.
  17. If you report posts in which an argument is taking place Phil I am somewhat limited in what I can do if the post you are porting uses the same phraseology as the response you are reporting. Also quoting things which you then report doesn't make it any easier to edit; so I won't.
  18. I've taken a look at the Companies House entries for Final Accounts to be created as part of the liquidation of for other businesses where CG Recovery have handled the process and it seems that it takes 8-12 months where the situation is comparatively straightforward, the examples I looked at had a small number of unsecured creditors. So don't expect anything illuminating any time soon. However, they do seem to have the mechanisms to proceed even if full information isn't made available to them as shown in this example.
  19. At the time of announcement of the 74 Dave asked me, as I had a view copy of the Class 71 CAD, if I could do a mock-up of the 74 end - not to deceive anyone that the CAD was at that stage but purely as an illustration. In hindsight I should have told him no, not because it was deceitful in any way but because, ultimately, too much use was made of 'favours' in general without Dave himself acquiring skills and putting leg-work in himself to do something which someone in that position should be doing. It was originally mentioned as I'd personally pressed Dave on this on 5th April 2018 (along with a very long list of concerns*) that there was no evidence that anyone had done any work on the 74 whatsoever beyond the photoshop mock-up of one end. Consequent to that Dave could not provide proof to Kernow that there had been any progress hence their laudable decision to put a stop to the process. We know that Kernow took a hit on costs in doing so but it was about doing the right thing at the right time, especially in hindsight. I understand Dave had offered to cover some of those costs incurred but I don't believe that ever happened. * Any responses to the concerns raised did not allay the fears I had on any of the points made.
  20. There's some great off topic posts I'm having to hide just to stand a chance of keeping this one from self-defeating.
  21. Have you tried the 2018 Jigsaw Puzzle yet? There's some pieces missing and there's some cloudy bits that you can't quite tell where they go but if you screw your eyes up and look at it there's no mistaking what it is.
  22. There's plenty of parking on side streets close by if you're visiting for less than two hours - just make sure it's not a permit holders only space.
  23. You widened it by heading it off to the sun. :p
