    Yes. 😆 Blame the Royal Mail; everyone did for Christmas. It's been somewhat of a leaky affair anyway but we try to be the last bastion of dignity here. ;) The announcements will be at 07.00 tomorrow and the full range will be covered on here in the morning; what's in the mags can only be the headlines and, I'm sure, it will be easier to navigate what's of interest (or not) on here than Hornby's site if previous years are anything to go by. If anyone blarts on here they'll get a 24 hour ban (at least).

That's why it's The Scotsman set and not The Flying Scotsman.

    Largely it's what gets sent in for review (sometimes you have to question why something hasn't been sent in) plus a smattering of our own purchases. We're not going to go out and buy something that hasn't been sent in that one of us doesn't need or want. As an example, although one would certainly have been sent, our review of the Planet Victory was a personal purchase (two of us bought that so a better assessment was possible too). A few years ago I'd purchased a couple of wagons that featured a significant update and prepared a review but the manufacturer didn't want the review to appear highlighting the changes because they still had old stock to clear. 🤬

    Superseding Hornby's HM6000 control system there will now be a HM7000 Bluetooth control system a new range of sound (now branded as TXS Triplex sound - so named because it can play three sound simultaneously) and non-sound Bluetooth decoders and stay-alives are announced with accessories to integrate with existing DCC systems. The customer buys the 'blank' sound decoder and downloads and installs the appropriate sound file to the decoder. Non -sound Example diagrams. Late price changes compared to those noted above.
