  1. Ooooo, whats changed on it and when's the new one available? (I take it the updated project will be V5 only?)
  2. Only N gauge stuff Hatton's really has is Dapol and most of the discounts in this sale are Hatton's own stuff.
  3. Neither, you want a £20 Zimo MX638 from the likes of Digitrains, Youchoos or Coastaldcc (amongst others)
  4. Has it actually had the decoder removed and replaced with a blanking plug or did the previous owner just enable DC running on the decoder and managed to reverse the direction in the process?
  5. I'm guessing they'll be available via DCC supplies soon. Theres usually a lag between a new model being available and the spares being sent over to DCC Supplies.
  6. Aything DCC fitted from Dapol is always a few weeks behind the DCC ready models because the decoders are fitted in the UK at Dapol's factory/showroom.
  7. Bit quiet on the 92 front, any ideas if we'll be getting them this year?
  8. I noticed a small buzzing sound from my Class 71 when fitted with a Hattons decoder. No sound at all with a Lenz decoder.
  9. Maybe so but the fact stands that a Dapol Imperium (at least the 1 and 2's) are physically identical to the LaisDCC versions if you remove the wrapper from the Lais ones. Don't think the average buyer would really care who copied who (and until there is an actual legal settlement made public we don't really have the full story) Ultimately my point is valid - the DCC fitted versions come with a decoder you can buy for £10ish + p+p and the entire model is designed for easy DCC fitting so the extra cost seems a bit pointless in my opinion.
  10. Wasn't Dapol's normal Voyager (the 220) was considered a bit pants but the Super Voyager was fine?
  11. I'm meaning things that have seen sold out for years and are only even available to attempt to buy because the stock system is so manual.
  12. Doesn't really work that well for all the retailers that still allow you to try and order items long since sold out at the manufacturers.
  13. Seems to be getting oddly common this year for Hornby to lower allocations a long time after orders have been taken....
  14. The older ones that just say "DCC Ready" on the box will 99% likely be 8pin.
  15. In good news, they turned up and look most excellent. In typical my luck news - managed to lose one of the little lifting eye things already lol.
  16. That possibly explains it then. Payment 1 is marked as complete but Payment 2 is still on processing (made the payment as soon as it was possible).
  17. Before I panic and directly pester the Revolution folks, I got the order despatched email for my KUA's on the 21st September....does that actually mean they've been posted or is it just a status they use for when an order is fully paid and will be shipped when they can get a chance to?
  18. Lenz Silver Direct is about the best direct fit one available.
  19. TTS decoders don't have any CV's to adjust the brightness.
  20. Considering the awkwardness of the ordering system at Olivia's thats unlikely
  21. You read CV29 and the result into the backcalc box in the above CV29 calculator. That tells you whether the decoder is set to 14 or 28/128. Thats all you can do without identifying the specific decoder. Generally speaking ESU decoders default to 14 out of the factory (most sound project makers alter the default to 28/128) and everything else I've ever used defaults to 28/128. Choosing between 28 and 128 on a decoder with CV29 set for such is done on the controller and is usually down to personal preference.
  22. Strikes me thats it a bit of a pity the Hatton's shop/showroom is still closed. With all the issues the 66's have had it would probably make people feel a lot more confident buying one if they could go to the shop and test it before making the purchase.
  23. I suggest you pick up the manual and have a read. http://www.esu.eu/en/downloads/instruction-manuals/digital-decoders/
  24. Anyone fitted a stay alive to these little beasties yet? If so, where did you put it and how did you wire it up?
  25. Does feel a bit like it was an age ago the order book closed and they went off to be produced...
