In a modern world, the fact there is a way of operating without isolated sections and with constant lights in locos must make it worthwhile...it's only a tenner extra per loco, which is about how much you'd save in copper from much less wiring. Go for it!

@gwrrob It's bit hard to get lost on a circa 1 mile stretch of road. I will admit it's incredibly easy to miss the one junction out of 8 that you wanted before you realise that you're going around again. That can be disorientating!

I recently watched F&F6 for the first time. Frankly I thought it was rubbish. None of the freshness of the first F&F, and none of the originality of Tokyo Drift. Not giving much hope for no.7

I thought it was the best to date...but then I'm easily pleased
