  5. Was this one of the ones with only half the chassis etches?
  6. I agree, the OO market is quite saturated, with manufacturers now producing the same prototype as well on occasion with the new scale TT the world is your oyster Taking the class 31/Brush type 2 as an example, not only do you have current production you also have 50 odd years of previous examples still around to compete with On TT 120 you are the only game in town and there is no cheap second hand stuff knocking around either You may also be one of the few diesels around to choose from for a while
  7. Is that not what happened with OO9 Peco produced track long before rtr came out
  8. So 1 inch is 10 feet, and 1/10 inch is a foot sounds pretty simple With the buildings so far a 14xx an auto coach and a few wagons would be a start
  9. It seems that Gaugemaster are in on this as well https://railsofsheffield.com/search?q=Gaugemaster TT&sortValue=1&mc_cid=84f4629deb&mc_eid=0753950d8c I also received an email update from Rails of Sheffield that Gaugemaster are looking to do a class 66 in this scale
  10. Found this paper on the oxidisation of lead sulphide to lead sulphate at low temperatures and normal atmospheric pressure https://spiral.imperial.ac.uk/bitstream/10044/1/17285/2/Eadington-P-1966-PhD-Thesis.pdf After a bit of a trawl through it seems that the process will take place in the presence of water and oxygen at temperatures as low as 20 degrees c and acidic conditions will help the process Disclaimer This is a single thesis Its a long time since I studied chemistry
  11. Hi Jonathan Just discovered your thread here, I do have a couple of questions. Is this where the idea for your business came from? Do you have any more photos you could upload to get an overall picture of what you have achieved, unfortunately most of them are no longer showing. Thanks Mark
  12. Maybe a visit here would aid recovery https://www.blacksheepbrewery.com/visit-us/sheepy-shop/
  13. Was Barassie not the GSWR wagon works? I am pretty sure having a few friends from that part of Scotland that they might well do their own thing/ interpret the rules
  14. Are fairies colour coded? Would a green fairy sort out the static grass?
  15. Angus on the east if Scotland is also well known for seed potatoes and potatoes in general, the climate and soil being well suited.
  16. There was also a large slate industry in Scotland with up to 80 quarries in use at one point, Ballahullish and the inner Hebrides are some of the locations. The industry went into decline before the First World War with the last quarry closing in the 60’s although there have been some attempts to restart production in Ballachulish. In regards to railway traffic I would imagine some traffic at least on the Caledonian would be likely. Checking figures production peaked at 45000 tons in 1896, Ballachulish accounts for around half that.
  17. I think you would see variations in rail blue as it weathered The Hornby one does look a bit dark
  18. Hi Steve I have been following your thread on and off and I must say that neilson is a beautiful thing.
