    3 big trees blown down in our road. Unfortunately a neighbour was hit by one, some broken bones. Waited 45 minutes for ambulance. Hope he is ok.

    7mm ballasting is so much easier than 4mm!!

      Not when you use 7mm ballast on 4mm layouts as some people like to do...

      2mm scale ballast is just the right size for 4mm, and even works at 7mm.

       

      It must seem like mountains for 2mm folk!

    Finally, managed to fit Bach Class 20 with fibre optic lighting - 3 weeks!!

    is exhausted but has successfully turned 2 8x6 sheds into 1 16x6 shed for the layout. Time to leave the loft.

    is feeling cream-crackered. Spent yesterday turning 2 8x6 sheds into 1 16x6 shed. Should be able to move out of the loft in the next month or two.

      Ballasting takes a long time, I've spent an hour or more on a yard of track, plain track at that - it's not a job to rush.
