  1. This (the 4th this) I believe could be covered by the Accurascale (nee Hattons) AB tooling.
  2. Indeed, the time will come for accurate diagram number wagons etc, as I believe the scale isn't going away (certainly hope not as I want to do a layout in it when I move) but for now, all there need be freight wise is an open, a van, a hopper, a mineral and a flat really, specific details not overly important at the off to most you'd assume
  3. I think this feeds into the enthusiast/lay person debate. For me, and baring in mind I model in 00, I don't really care if I have the exact correct diagram number of van for a certain loco or era, I just want a line of boxes behind a loco they broadly match. That van, GWR as it is, does match the previously released locos in terms of operator with LNER on the side and I highly imagine most people haven't noticed or realised they aren't strictly correct; and I'll wager wouldn't care if it was pointed out.
  4. I certainly hope so! I was packing up much of my collection in anticipation of moving house which let me remember most of what I have, and the PI Victory is probably the best model I own and I have quite a few!
  5. I prefer LMS Cheese and Pickle
  6. Companies only tend to go off of direct reports to themselves I'd imagine, where they can actually take apart returned products and assess what the issue may be and any themes. As far as Hornby are probably concerned, someone saying 'this doesn't work' online probably isn't overly helpful if they can't see the model to make their own conclusions, even if the loco is taken apart on video, there are just so many variables.
  7. Presumably, Hornby, with access to the production/sales figures (which none of us have) and support requests (which we can guess to a degree) will be doing just that, assuming the numbers indicate that something needs to be done. I think I've seen 4 videos of faulty ones, assume there are 3 faulty ones for each one on Youtube, thats 16. If they've made 100 that's a problem, if they've made 1500 less so
  8. A statement based on facts or imagination?
  9. Take them off, put the brackets on, job done! :)
  10. That's the hole in the streamlined casing for the steam to eject from the chimney through with the wall behind it no?
  11. Must have been really throwing it down, chap seems to be using the opportunity to catch a few more litres into the tender tank!
  12. The lamps, at least the front ones, are interchangeable as discussed at length on this thread iirc
  13. Presumably based off of this image, although interesting to note the caption does list the loco as 'shunting' with them fitted, so if they can do it in real life presumably no bother when aided by the hand of god (or electronic equivalents) https://www.railscot.co.uk/img/57/884/
  14. Well, when the Princess, 50, 66 and J50 are released, all supposedly by the end of the year I think that'll be an equivalent size range in 1/3rd the time if I'm not mistaken
  15. But they did, and do have a viable TT range? You can view it here if you like: Hornby TT:120 Catalogue | Hornby UK As for driving suppliers out, I'm not sure that's fair. Fair enough they announced some of the same things as Heljan but the choice to pull out was theres. If their 31 was at CAD stage it would be out now if they had carried on with it and we've seen not a peep of a Hornby 31. A range that isn't as big as you'd like =/= a range that isn't viable.
  16. How long do you think it takes to design, tool, check, modify, approve, produce, ship and market a single product, let alone multiple out of interest?
  17. Has anyone said "Nothing in it for me" yet?
  18. That's the loco little Timmy knows and by extension (and probably much to their annoyance, his parents. Additionally, while you or I might see it as just another steam loco it is special to a large group of people. Every version they do seems to sell out, so why not make them while they can?
  19. Commotion Lotion, which fittingly I assume must be consumed by the bucket load prior to record being hit ;)
  20. The same youtuber who is banned from being linked on the forum I believe
  21. I would imagine that with the double chimney fitted some vapor would collect on the plastic middle moulding, which would form a bead which could drop onto the pad which creates the steam, causing the flow of steam to stop.
  22. Sounds like that's the plan
  23. An announcement of an announcement which has already been announced it seems...
  24. Not sure what this guy's issue is, seemingly just trying to pick fights with every manufacturer since his Bachmann video got smacked down
