  1. The 2MT is being made in a completely different factory to anything TT...
  2. I think that person was, hitherto current employment, an employee of Bachmann (perhaps working on this project). I wonder how common the chassis is for the Class 43 and whether that is a potential for the future. Having said that £199.99 for the power car, if you add the cost of a dummy it may not work out much cheaper than the current offering.
  3. Hole filled in the market that's for sure. Is this just a power car then, no dummy?
  4. The two A1s they have for £126 are mid-2022 releases.
  5. Maybe a reduced market, but as Hornby doesn't hold the stock and immediately sell all of it to the companies that then sell it to the consumer the risk isn't on them!
  6. I think people can get a bit carried away and slaphappy with the idea of recalling a product if it isn't right. In my experience, a product will only be recalled if it is genuinely dangerous (this goes for all industries) not if the quality is a bit iffy.
  7. Injection moulded figures a-la the Hornby 9F/A3 are often much better than attempts at 3D printing.
  8. Yes. Thank you. This is exactly the point I was making
  9. Interesting view, can you tell me where you found that out, that TT is being made in the same factory as their 00 stuff and therefore has caused delays on 00 products?
  10. I'd like to see an image of one next to the current market leading RTR 50 to determine just how different it is!
  11. I haven't ever purchased a KR Models, err, model however I have signed up for the Class 40 EOI, which came hand in hand with all their other ridiculous marketing fluff. If I were to email to ask a question about it, should I expect the same curt reply as to them I am not a customer either?
  12. Have you seen one in person or just the 8x blown up pictures on here?
  13. Would it be nice if it had fully working valve gear? - Yes Is it a deal breaker? - Probably for some people Is there a better RTR Bellerophon? - No If you want a RTR Bellerophon, should you buy one? - Yes Should KR perhaps be a bit more in depth with their communication? - Yes Does it all really matter that much? - Not really IMO
  14. Thank you for your gripping and valuable input. I have 2 anyway
  15. To be fair, the Hornby Lion's valve gear detail is much finer than Rapido's lack of any attempt to model it!
  16. Right, can anyone explain it but without being unnecessarily rude?
  17. Odd reply to someone heaping some praise
  18. Right, that's it, I've made up my mind and I'm getting one... The Baguley-Drewry in green that is...
  19. Even if it did, steam era could be worse, very very very skimmed milk!
  20. Maybe going against the grain but from a distance (as in on a layout and not a zoomed in photo) it looks pretty good. I would imagine decorating any livery as complicated as that would be hard, maybe up magnified it's not 10/10 but such is life, a good thing returns and refunds exist if people aren't happy.
  21. Price dependent, I'm definitely interested, if it's more Rapido Hunslet than Heljan Ruston then I'll be the first on the list
  22. Is that a diddy little flywheel I spy?
  23. I agree with this, but the problem KR Models really seems to face is that no one is even willing to give it a chance. We haven't even seen CAD for their 40 yet and people are already saying that 'the old Bachmann one is better' and to 'wait for a proper company to make one'. They're in a tricky spot, how do you improve your reputation if people don't seem to want to let you improve it?
