  1. The Model Railway Society of Irelands first Virtual Exhibition will be beginning shortly at the link below https://www.facebook.com/MRSIExpo/ Plenty to come over the coming 3 days, MRSI layouts past and present
  2. Hi all Due to the current Covid19 situation the Model Railway Society of Ireland have taken the sad and reluctant decision to cancel the Dublin October Bank Holiday weekend show for 2020 We intend to host a 2 day show in Spring 2021 if and when the situation improves Naturally we are very disappointed about this but it is out of our control Stay Safe Everyone
  3. Other stuff too like the side the exhaust port is on, 59001-4 have it on the opposite side to the rest I just hope given the longer development period its a model worth the wait
  4. Knew I'd seen that design before somewhere....
  5. You can actually go 10 higher, as 90001-90025 all rolled off the production line in Intercity Swallow Another excuse to do some modelling
  6. Or the humored mob who did nothing but laugh at him.....and his more easily led followers
  7. Lets pull this one out again Its out by one day, but on the 4th of June 2019 the liquidators moved in
  8. Different version to Bachmanns though...
  9. Same for the IPA Car transporter wagons. If they were 'dumbed down' with less detail - people wouldnt buy them If they were made as they were previously with a higher price - people wouldnt buy them Dont forget Accurascale and Revolution are both very small enterprises compared to Bachmann, you wouldnt need to take your socks off to count the number of employees for both firms combined
  10. A unique member of the fleet - the only one fitted with Air brakes, the pipes visible under the large headboard
  11. Try H+A Models as they have taken over whats left of Genesis kits https://www.hamodels.net/genesis-kits.html
  12. A great show as always, thanks to the organisers as ever. First time to exhibit a 'local' (non Irish) layout overseas and it was very well received. Heres one of our guys being put on the spot about the layout
  13. They do the Sierra but it is the Sapphire shape and a Cosworth. Would much prefer the 1.6 GL or 2.0 GLX Executive etc They also do a nice model of the Mk2 Cavalier hatch Not sure how true it is, but certain manufacturers may not allow Oxford to make models of their more 'forgettable' models too. I'd love to see more bread and butter 80's and early 90's cars
  14. Dave Jones is now toast yet people are still believing him....
  15. Will be attending with St Davids MPD - Small on space, Big on detail.
  16. And with that kind of attitude you wonder why sales are not up? Rule 1 is not to attack potential customers and that includes blocking people on Facebook. People are going to poke holes to ensure that it is right, and if its not what you want to hear its better to ignore rather than be offended. If the orders are coming in its what you want. Keep those who are happy, Happy
  17. Was excellent to see these and the other forthcoming goodies last night. A little Irish firm punching well above its weight
  18. Will be there in the 'Irish Corner' with Ardmore 7mm/Irish - opposite Accurascale/Irish Railway Models
  19. Its the last operational survivor, 4 preserved in total
  20. Briefly and unexpectedly made it to the show on Saturday for an hour (thanks mainly to the big signs in the village), a nice show and well put together - apart from the stand numbers not being in order which would have confused a few people. Thanks for the chats @BigAndy and @70000 Britannia
  21. Had this in my hand recently, stunning and nice and heavy for such a small wagon. And I didnt even say how good the container is
  22. Extreme Etchings/Shawplan do them for DRS Class 20/3's but you could probably trim them down
  23. Im so excited, I really cant wait for the Irish Deltic and A Classes/121's in Intercity. I've become incontinent with excitement
