    EBay madness

As long as they're in good condition & decent running order, they still seem to fetch a good price selling privately.

You do get the odd good deal on Rails, but the mark-up on OO gauge stuff is ridiculous. Absolute wrecks in the locomotives section with an asking price of £50+. Same with Hattons now sadly.
  3. Loving the weathering on the little Ruston. Have one exactly the same livery so might try a similar style!
  4. I swear by Vallejo acrylics. Easy to mix colours with a bit of water & go on many surfaces (plastic, wood, metal) easily.
  5. Finding a small box of N gauge in your parent's loft you forgot from childhood 😃

  6. Ditto: Exactly my opinion. Wonder if we're the only ones?
  7. Maybe Heljan have now decided that TT in the UK is Hornby's gamble to either succeed, or ruin on the company on (depending on your opinion).
  8. If there was a 375/3 or 377/3 made (ie the 3 coach) then I'd happily lap one up & provoke me into a modern era station layout I've always wanted to build! May even be tempted to get on in OO gauge instead if that was made!
  9. We're still waiting for the Electrostar after 20+ years, so not for a while yet!
  10. Given how much Hornby mucked up the Tier list & offended model shops for OO gauge & how poor/unreliable some of their newer models have been I'll be waiting for others to spend their £££s before I think of it.
  11. Nothing wrong with a Railroad model & detailing/weathering it up!
  12. Trial run to see if I can hack & fit micro tension lock couplings to my older Lima/Hornby's.

Be sure you want to before you do it. I have found the new one’s very poor and would happily swap the small one’s on my modern stock for older types that work. I have bought some Sprat & Winkles but have yet to start fitting them.

Or there's a cardboard box for £30 from the same seller if you decide to buy the aforementioned diesel/electric loco to store it in😀 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354272568929?hash=item527c4a6661:g:KXQAAOSwQ0xiTznu
