  1. There is only one weedkiller still allowed, glyphosate as the UK managed to convince the rest of Europe that when used correctly it has a minimal safety impact on the user. Please note the words - when used correctlyt. Also the UK has the tightest regulations concerning the use of Weedkiller's. A number of authorities have tried alternatives, such as vinegar but none so far have the same long term effectiveness.
  2. Just remember to look interested when they show you on the monitor just how far they have got. Been there and got the tee-shirt so know what you'll be going through.
  3. Sorry Mr P I was being a s.........,,.,e, insert letters as appropriate. Although the idea might be worth considering as if you stood on the stairs you could lay the layout on the loft floor. This would allow the most space to be available.
  4. So as I was saying are you standing on the stairs or what. Sorry to hear about your fly in the ointment I'm certain though your'll come up with a solution does that covenant say anything about cellars?
  5. So will you be standing on the ladder/stairs ( insert word as appropiate as it will probably have changed by the time i finish typing this). What about a small lift?
  6. The computer is never wrong however the same cannot be said about the operator. I was just following orders mein fuhrer.
  7. May I suggest that the sign be made freestanding as signs that àre fixed to private properties, as this appears to be, would have have to pay a fee to the property owner. Unless of course the house belonged to the signs owner.
  8. My apologies to all it may concern. I commented without firstly reading all of the comments, much later as do not type as fast as once did that I then realised that much of what I had said was duplication. I have in lieu of punishment spent an appropriate time on the naughty step. I will offer perhaps one possible suggestion to as to why the card reader does not retain 'proof' of the transaction in this country and that is the quality of the reader. As to whether that is due to their cost or a security issue or perhaps both I can only surmise.
  9. ? It is my understanding that after twenty five transactions you are require to insert the bank card into the reader. Quite why this is required or why twenty five was chosen I do not know but I would suspect it may have something to do with scrotes having difficulty with counting.
  10. The reason this traffic happened was because the cemeteries in London had become full and of course you had the problem of grave robbing.
  11. Plus several skips - 8 cu m or above please.
  12. I'm being careful here as I don't want to be tarred with the same brush as various politician's but I am an inhabitant of Greater Manchester. I feel that trying to suppress this virus by simply closing places down won't work. The virus isn't going to simply disappear. It isn't a fog or mist which will eventually blow away. It is here now in the environment and as soon as we start being more active whether that's going to the pub, the gym, the shops wherever the risk of contagion increases. I have said it before it is not the rate of infections that we should be worrying about but whether hospitals are coping with it. Our society is based on freedom to choose and that includes how we exist. If we are now saying that is no longer possible, for the benefit of the society, we had better make certain that the ones most impacted are supported. Closing businesses will result in more people becoming destitute. Put simply if you are broke then you starve and no amount of superduper broadband will allow you pick vegetables or slaughter animals. I'm sorry if this is a bit near the knuckle for some but it is something that I think sometimes gets lost in the discussion on here.
  13. By gum Mr Combe Barton you don't 'alf lead a varied and interesting electronic life. From earwax to funeral plans the whole gambit of ones existence.
  14. Oh do you mind. We in the northwest are very proud of our midlandsness stop and desist at once. Its you lot over the hills that need to put your pigeons away and feed the whippets.
  15. Please may i have some 2 b 4 , the piece on the left looks about the right length. HOW MUCH! On your bike lad. Or Arkwright's doesn't sell it for that.
  16. Dear Mr Q It is our understanding here at D H Gate that you have been spending a considerable amount of time perusing our extensive range of products for pregnant women. We are delighted that you have chosen to do this and as a progressive 21 at Century pervayor of this merchandise we would be happy to offer whatever assistance we can to facilitate your selection. 17. I whole heartily agree that the media have played up this damn virus out of all proportion to its impact. Whilst not wishing to bring politics into it. It has to be said that no government would look good no matter of what persuasion, in dealing with it. No doubt more learned contributors will be able to explain the reasoning but to my reckoning it is the hospital admissions, deaths and whether hospitals are coping that need highlighting not the number of positive tests. If we are constantly chasing the number of infections then there will be no end as the virus is not going to go away even when a vaccine is available.
  18. There are of course, as with any statements, exceptions and I think Mr Hunt, that in lieu of your meritorious service in defence of the realm, you can be allowed a dispensation from this ruling. However I do caution you as this is discretionary and will be removed if your driving does fail to maintain a high standard as required by the ER forum.
  19. I seem to recall a saying about BMW drivers that they think they own the road but that Mercedes drivers know they own it.
  20. Yes but has PC Plod been able to catch the little so and so's (other appropriate words are available) who threw the previous lot into the harbour. No good buying another lot if there only going to end up in the briney as well. You need to crack down hard on this sort of behaviour. I understand that is was nerdowells who broke the engine shed door.
  21. Is it like Triggers broom, same handle but has had several new blades. Oh the exits that way is it. Can I get my coat and hat on the way please.
  22. The other thing I forgot to mention was about making sure all of the information is removed from the old phone prior to its disposal. I once remember listening to a radio program where the reporter had a phone that was to be disposed of checked over and the amount of confidential info left on it was quite worrying.
  23. Having had to maintain the department's stock of phones I can sympathize. The best way I found was to transfers or save all the details such as contacts etc to your phone's memory. You then insert the new SIM card and then save them to that. Alternatively if you're retaining your current SIM card you save the details to that and insert that into the new phone. Be aware though if you do that you'll need to get your network provider to 'port' it across.
  24. My initial thought was moss but on zooming in, as suggested, I'm beginning to doubt. Could be saxifrage but I'm not certain as this doesn't tend to grow over and through Erica's.
