  1. Well I've long wanted Scottish pre-grouping loco's and stock in RTR so I'll put my money where my mouth is and I'll be pre-ordering every CR and BR example of these. A cheeky ask is any chance of a sliding door on these! I suspect not but could be worth a try as you got it right on your VIX wagons even though I know it was a pain. I could see some nice cameos of people loading crates of Cadbury into them or just an excuse someone needed to get one that had made it that bit further afield! It could inspire a Cadbury's layout or two as well!
  2. A lovely pic at the end in the latest newsletter suggests these will be on show in Glasgow next week!
  3. Good news about the rerun. I've mentioned up thread that a pack of a couple of sleeping coaches with all the destinations would be useful to help strengthen peoples rakes as a simple SKU that can be somewhat of a one size fits most approach. Accurascale were going to do a commission for KMS Railtech but it went south before anything got started, as I think Accurascale got a bit too busy and terms couldn't be agreed for whatever reason. KMS are still saying they will commission someone to do it but they are taking their time to do so as that was a couple of years ago now that they promised some news and there's been nothing since. I spoke to the one who was apparently in charge of the project at Warley and it was very non-committal from KMS. I can't help but feel that the EOI is now quite out of date. Anyway here's the topic that has been locked for further info.
  4. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't an intermediate batch between the ones due now and the recently announced 37403. Maybe a series of 37/7 heavyweights to go with the 37714 commission? There could even be a batch of 80's/90's 37/4's between these and then 37403 could be a rerun of the initial ones e.g. modern 37/4's and some EPS 37/6's etc.

I do remember pointing out the odd pricing on these when first announced. Obviously, it's their prerogative as to what price they put them at and I presume they are simply their because a few people will buy them at RRP and then they can be heavily discounted. For me they would become viable at 40% off. They've had recent A3's sold at a heavier discount so I would expect these will end in up the bargain bins.
  6. Sorry, could you please elaborate what is meant by 'TTS function profiles'. I presume this isn't simply a straight transfer of TTS profile's?
  7. "The MULTI can also function as a translation module, so that it is possible to connect LocoNet devices to XpressNet centers (e.g. our MZSpro), it is also possible to operate XpressNet devices on LocoNet command stations."
  8. I have seen this device which seems intriguing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166210063503?itmmeta=01HPGQRN8KQ537EE5QRATFFNPG&hash=item26b2e44c8f:g:DpMAAOSwJEpeumsN&itmprp=enc%3AAQAIAAAAwNf8ahKpK1Z0S4WMNpoyrzp6TdgNrGyevgW8Mha0m7WwPHEQRn1Sdre5sg2u557IpSvB4B%2BVjgAQUfIJg71zSkKd94WhPYflmkM5PREoRCp5C4mqeHsH207jLwkoV8j9%2B%2F%2BFqp1pDOS%2FiDGLvOIaZlvz4rVTOX%2BX%2B0byn6xUt1QJQFR9iAJTyZfoX7cn5gQvvAY3Rui7S7DrRf4kFo6ujthm9g429DCtyufPt58Hw8wB7Wav9pJeB6mRz0wKP%2B6Dng%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR67U4pe0Yw Claims to translate from Xpressnet to Loconet and vice versa as well as being a wifi gateway so could in theory allow those with a Loconet based system to use the dongle.
  9. I'd be pretty confident that is the small announcement. Next big one will probably be around Model Rail Scotland where they announce a...
  10. Worked perfectly. Thanks so much.
  11. Thanks so much - that's amazing! I will look to do that later. PS love your channel and the mix of ride on and model railway content 😀
  12. To be fair at the retailers it's £306. Not much more than the Cavalex 56 though granted that may well be model of the year. My main issue is that they are tension lock based. I suspect a fair portion of SFX modellers have moved away from these to hunt/kadee or something else but I guess this could upsell some others into them... In other news, whilst there isn't any prices Rails seems to have stated which 69's are going to be available.
  13. I don't want to put you out as I was meaning it for feedback for the Cavalex guys and I'm sure I could figure it out at some point as a Lokprogrammer is high on the need to buy list but are out of stock most places last time I checked. Nevertheless, thanks for your kind offer. The ideal would be as some other manufacturers do whereby the on F19 fades all sound and toggling F19 cycles through the volume levels. I realise there's a fair amount of work there to do with cycling through the values and this may well be a Zimo only feature as I can't recall exactly which models have which.
  14. Hopefully some coaches for the 812 to pull would be nice but can also compliment and encourage more pre-grouping locos that rails and others have been responsible for recently.
  15. Just got 56008 from Colletts. Firstly great service from them for my first purchase. The fidelity of the sound is great and as a model it's faultless absolutely and completely. It's a small thing but the acceleration / deceleration is spot on. The sound project is so clever with the automated sounds coming in and out really adding to the experience. Slow speed performance is superb. I love the ribbed glazing on the lights. The only thing I'd change - it'd be nice to cycle through sound levels on the fly but that is such a minor point when the quality is so good it'd be shame to turn it down!
  16. I'll go against the grain here. There was a heck of lot for a 1/4ly announcement though admittedly no steam whatsoever let alone a new tooled release. That being said most of the recent releases are still on the shelves so maybe they don't feel inclined to release any just yet. Very surprised there wasn't any 47's in 00 announced, however I suspect the same line does the 37's and 47's and therefore they will only do one of these a quarter but that is complete speculation and the 31 will take precedence considering the competition. The peaks have made it back which does make sense especially as the Heljan 45 wasn't quite as hot as first thought. I expected the RRP on the SFX 31's to be £400 but these couplers don't seem to have pushed the price up too much which is good as I would consider SFX but not use the couplers. That being said though a 31 isn't for me anyway as they barely made it north of the border in the 'proper' days (60's to 80's). Sound fitted are now within the price of a pint of the Accurascale 31's once the 15% and 3% 'discounts' are taken into account. The mk1's with passengers and improved bogies are very welcome as that will make things a lot easier and the premium for figures feels spot on for me so will probably look to get some of these. I'm also glad they have started with the TSO and BSK. The TTA's look great and don't cover the same liveries as the red box which is very welcome.
  17. Well that was somewhat unexpected! I suspect price will be key with the competitor just round the corner as well though there's nothing to suggest these would be any cheaper than the 37 and 47. If only the auto-uncoupler was kadee style! I'd almost suggest that these should be an option for aftermarket parts but then that opens a whole other can of worms.
  18. When you say little it could mean: 1. N gauge or even 009 2. Small loco or wagon or coach e.g. 08 shunter 3. Could be totally having us on and is a Class 40
  19. That is a good shout though some of the original ones are currently still hanging about on shelves at some retailers so could be an exclusive next year.
  20. Based on the Mk2F DBSO I wouldn't rule one out but it will be expensive and probably be a DCC model.
  21. Ah right fair enough. We may well be moving house when these arrive so I'm not updating to have it as a useful hold point to update my address if required at the same time. Top right was a link to my account
  22. Between these, a Cavalex 56 and an Accurascale class 31, 50 and 89 it's going to be quite the competition this year
  23. Well one of those is a Highland 24 so I doubt it somewhat.
  24. Ok, I think it might be time to draw a line under this as I think the same point has now been made in a number of different ways and I think whilst ideally it wouldn't have happened, it has and they aren't realistically about to do a full redesign of the circuit board to change things overnight. I'm very sympathetic to your struggles though and I agree with your logic of putting the core functions on the most readily accessible features. Accurascale have shown time and again that they are willing to learn and listen to feedback and I'm sure this will be taken on board for future releases so lets give them a chance to learn from this. In the meantime perhaps take your DCC woes to the DCC part of the forum, not least as they may be of use in a much wider context than just this model. I'll leave this little beauty here for some inspiration for the Accurascale guys to also look into 😜 (Pinterest)
