I think it's very positive and does suggest they are trying to learn and listen to feedback.
  2. Is there a way you could turn the board to make the gradient flat(er)?
  3. Trying to think of another charity loco...
  4. Anyone successfully removed the C53 body on this version i.e. with the next 18 socket? I'm having tremendous trouble and feels like I'm using more force than I'm comfortable with. Removed the cow catchers and couplings and the 4 screws obviously.
  5. Would have loved to see a Type IV Cockerill i.e. Lucie from the NYMR Photo from https://www.embsayboltonabbeyrailway.org.uk/aboutus/piglets-lucie-john-cockerill-of-1890-vertical-boilered-steam-locomotive
  6. As always brilliant after sales support from Rapido! This kind of support is why I will gladly buy from you again and again.
  7. Sorry - you are quite right. I'll edit that out as I really meant to try and give them the benefit of the doubt going by my first sentence.
  8. I wouldn't be that surprised if they were supposed to be produced didn't end up in the box but then Rapdio would be in their rights to go back to the factory and then send these out as goodwill to anyone who wants them. Wouldn't be unprecedented and they have generally been very good for holding their hands up in the past.
  9. They normally hold back on publishing it until the reveal (notwithstanding this years faux par), though whether that still applies with the new announcement model remains to be seen. I'm expecting a just a couple of new tooling announcements and some reliveries and strong emphasis on what is due into stock soon looking at existing deco samples to enable them to shift towards 'termly' announcements (I saw termly as who knows what frequency they will be). I would anticipate the following announcement will tie in with the Model World Live event at the back end of April, especially as this ties in well with the other 'Hornby' brands.
  10. Completely agree. Wide range of liveries too and lasted well into the transition era. I maintain that Scottish sells well with it's more manageable realistic train size.
  11. Expected in the new year. Already in production. I seem to remember them saying the tampo printing was quite simple so relatively quick production turnaround.
  12. A Warley update is that these are expected early in the new year.
  13. To help I spoke with the designer at Warley. The final model was reconfirmed to have working fans. It will weigh around 1kg total. All the design is complete, just waiting for EP's which may well be in time for MRS 2024 with a view to release end of next year i.e. Christmas 2024 but obviously this could easily slide. They also said that flange squeal would be automatic but using an IR/optical light senor system (the same that is being used for the stem and smoke generator models) rather than hall sensors as per Accurascale class 37.
  14. Probably more of one for the DCC forum but is there any possible issue with initially overloading systems if we (in 5 -10 years) have a full fleet of 15 stay alive fitted locos and coaches also equipped especially if we have circuit breakers set for normal use?
  15. It may well be a case of producing the first run and then people get them in their hands (and see them at exhibitions/friends etc), re-running the EOI for further liveries as the Revolution 175 would become much more widely known about. This seems to have served Realtrack well with their 156 with a huge amount of liveries now covered for example.
  16. I would also like to know the answer to this if anyone has it.
  17. That’s good to know and understand. I think part of my thinking does come from the increasing number of power bank fitted locos needing quite a large amount to start up without overloading but then again maybe that’s a case of having manual switches for each power district so only a few are started at the same time which is a very simple fix.

They confirmed it would without prompting.
  19. I've got to be honest I'm really not sure who this is aimed at (having watched a full demo in person and asked questions). It feels somewhat similar to the DCC concepts Aegis in that it's a nice product but better solutions exist when the overall price point is taken into consideration. The 2 amp does feel especially low and would quickly need boosting for all but the smallest layouts. On the face of it, it's a niceish DCC command control setup with the added bonus of app control but still a already very dated looking handset (why do so many systems use something that looks from the 90's! Is this better than the Z21 with all it's functionality and compatibility across different standards with app control and several different handset options - I'm not so sure? It does allow for some nice sequences to be run but again using the handset to record and I do think that is it's USP, though I think iTrain would be a better all round solution than Railmaster and driving automation through that for anyone who seriously wants to automate things. Consisting is easily done if that's a common thing you do. I've probably answered my own question somewhat but I still think that for my money there are much better systems out there at similar price points.
  20. Just as an FYI for those heading for the afternoon and more for those departing, unfortunately and tragically there has been a fatality between BHI and COV which is causing understandable disruption around Birmingham in general.
  21. Excited to see this later in action
  22. I can't advise with the CV changes but certainly I would first double check the dip switches if this loco has them (I can't remember if it does). I would then look to reset the decoder back to factory settings (note the sound project should be locked so it would just reset all the CV values back to the state they left the factory in). CV8 = 8 resets it.
  23. Ah that's perfect. I'll pop by for a chat anyway. You convinced me off the back of MRS earlier this year so that was hopefully a worthwhile trip at least!
  24. Do you have a list of layouts these will be on at Warley? Just wanting a sneak peak in action.
  25. In all likelihood the 37's and 47's are made in the same factory on a similar line, just going off the similarities in how they are put together and I guess there's only so much capacity.
