  1. Just logged into my SLW account and hadn't noticed this before but there is a pay option now. I presume this would be welcome for them to do if you haven't paid up?
  2. I think it's quite understandable that as a new manufacturer they would outsource the electronics to ESU as this removes so much hard work and I don't think anyone would deny they along with Zimo are the two major players nowadays. It's also a dammed if they do dammed if they don't situation as the number of lighting combinations and other features is rapidly exceeding what most medium to high end decoders can handle i.e. more than 6 functions but they still want to push the boundaries of what's possible. I don't think they should be shot down for that. However, I do wonder aloud if a bit more oversight of future projects for which features go on which functions by Accurascale (and indeed other manufacturers in a similar position) to enable the best compatibility for the expected core features on future projects would be a prudent step. This is especially in light of some more advanced features being exclusive to a certain brand or for example ABC performance. This also does help to better future proof the model against one manufacturer going under and taking their IP with them since with the lifetime warranty extension I hope to be running my stock well beyond the 2050's!
  3. Am I correct in saying that only a few SKU's i.e. D7599 and are here and that the rest of the batch is still to arrive?
  4. I reckon there'll be a few fictitious APT's knocking about not that there's along wrong with that as they are superb models.
  5. The only one I am waiting on is 47 492 Enterprising Scot and even then I think I will bide my time with getting one to allow for some discounting unless it starts selling out at a few places first. Plenty of time for Bachmann to bring one out too.
  6. I reckon more 47's to make use of this under used new tooling and so as not to miss out on Heljan taking the interesting liveries that people have been asking for. A few more 37's but only 3 at most, though I suspect it's the same factory as the 47's so they may struggle to do both at the same time. I think they'll be one big ticket new tool in oo but otherwise probably not too much else aside from mk1's and I think n gauge will be under represented. 009 will get the USA announcements included depending how close to delivery those are. Almost forgot but I reckon the EFE Newton Chambers should be in this one as arriving too.
  7. Yes, I'm not sure there is enough room for more than 1 in the market and ECT seem too far along to stop although so claim KR models.
  8. Yes, I'll take another look later and see if it's possible to remove some material though it does feel somewhat brave. Part of the issue with that suggestion would be the bend outwards would also require moving due to the size of the nut but would granted have a greater impact than the bend anyway so is worth a look still.
  9. So had a chance just now to have a quick look. I've unscrewed this using a con rod nut spanner and re assembled. It appears that as you say @cctransuk there was a misaligned crank so it wasn't pointing directly at the centre, however even after correctly adjusting this to lie over the centre of the wheel there is still some eccentricity. I then tried to see if there was any chance of sliding this by backing the nut off and retightening and whilst there is a small amount of adjustment it's no where near what's required. The final element I've looked at was to see if it had got bent towards the wheel (flattened), which from the side in 2D would have the effect of lengthening the crank. Again I've bent this a little bit to look more correct by bringing the speedo mounts in line from a plan view perspective but it's still not centred on the wheel where it should be. It therefore appears that the crank is slightly oversized by a few mm causing this cable to flex on every rotation due to the eccentricity. Is this just me or do others have an issue with this as well. If it's just me I will contact Hornby (and will do in any case to highlight this issue) but otherwise the model is absolutely spot on with very nicely applied 'smokebox' number plate etc so will accept it reluctantly rather than end up with a more obvious defect.
  10. Not wanting to hijack but noticed the OP's post. What's happened to DJH's 4mm line. It's all disappeared from the website?
  11. Don't get me wrong, I totally agree. A highland 37/4 for a start and some more banger blue's wouldn't go a miss, though I believe the next batches are already largely planned out well down the line so this was more to add to batches after those.
  12. Thanks. That's what I was expecting. Without taking it out the box right now I presume it's a case of adjusting the crank through loosening the main nut assuming of course that the crank is the correct length! I will have a look later.
  13. I'd be very surprised if the police one wasn't done at some point! 37409 in Scotrail livery would be on list for me though.
  14. Just to bump this just checking the cable is correct - just seems to flex a bit more than I was expecting? IMG_2516.mp4
  15. 2026 Q1 delivery according to the latest Newsletter.
  16. In the same interview that was mentioned at the same time.
  17. Yeah that was what I was referencing, as it's mightily impressive they picked up on that!
  18. Any idea if Colletts have got their batch in yet? Can't wait to marvel at 56008 and it's accurate upside down 8!
  19. What was wrong with large logo... ...looks even better when it's weather worn!
  20. No I’m not but it wouldn’t surprise me. Based on past performance let’s give them the benefit of the doubt for now why don’t we…
  21. Personally, I'd rather they wait and do thorough QC than have to send it back.
  22. I'm also in a similar position so this is extremely welcome news and goes above and beyond what I'd have expected. Well done.
  23. Am I correct in saying that this is the BR type speedo? Furthermore the cable seems to flex in a way that doesn’t inspire confidence in its longevity. Is this correct? https://share.icloud.com/photos/023C0cJ8CwEPEmg43jT4tTgfw
  24. Just a thought. If you were to reset the decoder what state does it reset to? Bluetooth or DCC and does it wipe the sound profile back to default?
