Hi Cav,
Those buildings are very good and will look great alongside the line complimenting the railway. What did you use to make the building shell card/ plasticard?

Hi Steve,
Those JLTRT vans look like very nice simple kits but I was wondering if it is difficult to get the W irons sitting square on the under frame?
Do you use an etch primer on the white metal and under frame prior to spraying your top coat?
Cheers
Lee
Ah, that's simple.... I think even I can manage that!!! It looks very effective.
Nice... very nice. Hope you managed to have an enjoyable day yesterday, I guess not having to stop and take piccies makes it more enjoyable.... just get on and run trains!!!

Brian,
The 4TC is looking seriously good. It's amazing how the models really come to life once the small details are added.
Are the etched details from Pete specials for yourself?

Hand built viaduct, in scale size pieces of stone with mortar That'll keep you busy for a while
With all this nice sunny weather we're having are you not going to send a Warship or two around the line.... even light engine perhaps?????

Hi Phil,
The work on the deviation route looks great and will make a really nice addition to the existing route. I'm guessing there is a viaduct or bridge to be added too?

Blimey Grumps, I turn my head for 5 minutes and you've just about finished!!!
I don't know much about steam locos but I do know that looks a great build!!!

Spenc,
Have a look here:

It may help with choosing a number. I guess trying to find a Canton based loco will be your best bet.

Hi Lee,
The 40 sounds very good. Have you ever had chance to compare the SWD class 40 with that of Legomanbiffos class 40?? I'd be interested to see which is the better.

Wow, what a fantastic project and you've picked a great location to model. Lots of potential for dirty blue locos from/ en-route HM
I shall keep an eye on this thread and if you need any more reference photos, please feel free to drop me a PM as this location is virtually around the corner (Just wish I could go back to 1982 to get the exact ones for you)

Hi George,
After all this peer pressure, if you do go BR blue, have you considered adding transfers/ decays for the stripes?
Railtech do them item no. 1207, should be easy enough to apply.

Hi Steve,
You've made a cracking job of that CCT and it hasn't taken you long to do either.
Layout is coming along nicely. Keep posting it's great to see the progress.

Hi Peter,
Ha, I have another JLTRT on order... and guess which one it is going to be?
Thanks for the compliments on 40118 and the 20. They are coming together now... albeit slowly I'd like to see the footage of 118, it was always a great loco and became my favourite after a trip from Leeds to Llandudno midweek with very few enthusiasts on!!! The return journey saw us leaving Man Vic at night and the sight and sound was awesome up Miles Platting. I managed a few thousand miles behind that loco before she was scrapped.
The latest pics are great of the grids... love how the rear cab door is left open. Superb. Please keep posting!!!!

Hi Peter,
Great photos of some excellent models, spot on with the details. I think the weathering on Aureol is just superb..... I can only hope to get something close with 118

Hi Spenc,
That is looking great and what a difference a coat of paint makes!! What do you use as a primer?
The underframe looks quite complicated too with rather a lot of parts, how long did it take to do that bit of the kit build?
Thanks for posting.
Cheers
