  1. I hear this often but have never seen the proof, can you link to something that shows that action, either Civil or Criminal was taken. Ta.
  2. Keep an eye on the D&S threads as Dan still produces 2 dozen kits a year, I'm due to pop over and pick some more up soon, a couple of which are destined for Canada.
  3. I could have sworn it was called being a 'Human Being' at one time.
  4. This has been posted before, but if you Google 'Kirk coaches' the searches take you to the relevant pages, bypassing the home page and you are able to make and pay for an order. Top of the search page http://cooper-craft.co.uk/Pages/2/About-Us.html 2nd on the list http://shop.cooper-craft.co.uk/index.php?cPath=61 No warning to be seen there.
  5. I will admit that the reason I build houses rather than extensions is because I hate customers, I have actually refused to sell one house as the prospective purchaser was a right kn*b and cheesed me off with demands.
  6. In response to the highlighted point, He did for quite some time, but the excuses started some years ago. Andy went out of his way to try and help as well as Ian Kirk. The situation he finds himself in, is of his own making. As for your last point. When payment is taken and goods aren't supplied the responsibility lies wholly with the vendor. I do find it odd that in some way it would be the fault of the customer?
  7. We have had recent contact with his sole executor and the collection is to kept together.
  8. For the flip side to the pro's, I rarely look at the plan unless it is a complicated track layout, the small/micro's convey what you need in the pics.
  9. We have the information but it is within our publications on wagons & coaches. they are available to purchase as a non member although you get a discounted rate if you are one.
  10. Just to make a comment on what people think is an easy plug in to websites. Today I tried to order and purchase £1000+ worth of fire retardant board for a conversion we're working on. So many suppliers are now online only and want you to order and pay at the same time which is fine, out of 3 suppliers 2 were showing stock which wasn't actually there and the third wouldn't accept payment as there is an issue with my postcode (there isn't, they acknowledge it's their system) it took just under 3 hours to make an order. I've just got back and opened 3 emails which read.. 1. my ordered is processed. 2. they don't have the stock. 3. It's being delivered next Wednesday. These are companies with a lot of resource and they still f up. So I'll give Phil a bit of time but he has to find a way to get on top of it soon.
  11. Redwings feeding on the berries you get on Roses (not Cadburys), no doubt they'll move onto the Holly tree soon.
  12. eerrrr that's quite an allegation to make without providing some proof. An 'impression' hasn't up to now been acceptable as that though.
  13. In Summer 1975 we arrived back in the UK from Japan (Dad worked there) and got a taxi from Heathrow to KX, being a Sunday we had several hours wait till a train back to Sandy so I wandered all over the station but mainly the suburban side (where we caught a DMU) including the motor rail terminal and parcels platforms. I remember standing at the tunnel mouth on 17 willing an engine to burst out of it. Sadly although at just 13 I had the use of Dads SLR camera, it was buried in the luggage and mum wouldn't let me empty the case out on the platform. . . .parents. . aren't they mean.
  14. I'd guess that attitude may be why you're on moderated posts.. . .that and the 'Shouting in capitals' thread title. Just a hunch.
  15. See post No 70. Looking seriously at the Passenger loco.
  16. Now I'm envious. My room came about as there is a piece of land at the side of the house that was overlooked by trees and North facing so was as dry as a bone and unable to grow anything. I initially thought about moving the garage there but the driveway was an issue and couldn't be moved. So instead I asked Lady bacon if she'd like a 12'x12' walk in wardrobe, she jumped at the chance so I explained the only way was to build a 28' x 12' room underneath and put the wardrobe in the attic trusses. She did question what she could do with the room ....eeerrr...... you're not doing anything dear....
  17. Yes there are items to add to the 3D print which are included in a kit. They shouldn't add too much to the cost and we figured that anyone wanting this pre-grouping Ivatt tender would likely be able to source them easily enough. The finish itself as supplied isn't bad, since then I've simply cleaned it with a fibreglass brush which has 'flatted' the sides and it's had a coat of primer, I haven't top coated yet as I have a terrible habit of putting painting off (all that lining) but I'll post some images in my thread when I do. Regarding resin kits, yes it's true that if the original 3D print isn't a good finish it will certainly carry over on to the Resin cast. There is also a point at which the silicone mould will start to degrade and the resultant casts will show the wear and tear, I work on getting 20 good casts from a mould although at present I've a GN 9T that is 25+ and still looking ok.
  18. Most of the issue with the brake van above is the material used (WSF-White, Strong & Flexible) it's offered as it's the cheaper alternative but I don't think it's suitable, it doesn't take many glues and needs a lot of work to get a good finish. I have several 3D printed locomotives which are printed in FUD (Frosted Ultra Detail). This is an Ivatt tender that has just been cleaned with no other work carried out (at the time) it takes glues such as Cyano for the handrails and any other detail needed and has a far superior finish. Price wise this was £50 which is comparable to a LRM kit (average £45). I agree 3D is still in it's infancy, but when the correct materials are used it can be equal to other forms of construction.
  19. How do you weather it though ? There's already a thread about using airbrushes in the house and upsetting the "significant other"
