  1. Wouldn't be the cache, I typed into Google 'E4um' E4um and the first listing was this page http://www.mousa.biz/lists.html © Copyright 2012, Bill Bedford. Last updated on Nov 12, 2014
  2. Thanks. I asked as Bill links to it on his website but the link goes nowhere. Maybe it's a 'Zombie" website
  3. That's the correct site Gordon, I know the Chairman ordered from Andrew as I picked them up at Peterborough in October to save postage. If you fire off an email to Andrew he responds very quickly (New Year might slow it)
  4. What part is dreadful ? What ultimatum should be given and to whom, I ask as I can't see anything derogatory posted.
  5. Wasn't he a Roman in 'Up Pompei' Ludicrous Sextus ...IIRC
  6. I've never seen or heard of this before, are you able to get this in Canada or are you still in 1879 . . yeeeeeeeeeehaaaaa.
  7. Without treading on Phils toes, The club needed a huge amount of Copperclad for a 14 road fiddleyard 2 months ago, the person procuring obtained it from Andrew at Wizard, no idea on price but like everything at club it would have been quoted before purchase.
  8. Ta, edited now. That'll teach me to do the work calendar at the same time as post.
  9. That'll be the meds kicking in. . . .couldn't be anything else.
  10. I'll take it that as I'm not a customer and you started this thread quoting me, this is directed at me. I've tried to be polite and positive but you just can't help taking pot shots. . it's like Tourettes. I do model, I rarely buy RTR (Rapido Single aside, just too difficult to make) and I have spent just over £400 in the last 4 weeks with small suppliers (Gibson, Wizard, Markits etc) In the last 4-6 weeks I have made up 25+ wagons (kits and my own resin castings) a Cotswold Q1 (85% done - awaiting wheels) I've cast 40+ kits from masters supplied by a friend in exchange for some help with other stock, and I've drawn (CAD) 6 items for etching which will be sent next week after New Years holiday. At present on the bench I'm fettling the chassis and motorising a 3D printed locomotive I had a hand in producing. I've made part of the substructure for a 2mm Finescale exhibition layout, and I attend a club on a weekly basis and have countless jobs to do there. On top of this I do approx 50-60 hours a week at work. I should be a customer of yours, but this thread shows you have a knack of p*ssing potential customers off. I saved some money for some items you were producing, but I found I haven't ordered from you, partly because the website seemed stagnant but accepting monies and partly because of production timescales that have never materialised. Some people might not be 'modellers' but you're not really a reliable manufacturer and supplier. I do note that the quote about "actual modellers" is very similar to one I received about 10-15 years ago with an enquiry, so at least you are consistent. The rest of this post (and 100 others) is 'in preparation' . .send me £10 and I'll send it sometime in the future. . or I won't.
  11. And for those that would have liked a link to it http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/117049-mousa-models-wagon-kits/ Post 12 is probably the most relevant. Regular readers and customers....this always has a hint of "Local suppliers for Local people...we'll have none of your sort round here"
  12. You beat me to it Dick, I was waiting until the New Year. Saturday the 17th February, I'll be the door 'muscle' as usual.
  13. Have you called him to discuss ? Just picking up on your quoted point, having been involved in an e-commerce site recently "a few quid" would go nowhere, we were heading towards 5 figures for a fully working site of similar complexity. And even if Phil should employ a professional to update the site he would still have to supply all the relevant stock levels and other information, part of the delay is that at handover much of the stock was just large bags/boxes of unmarked items that needed cataloguing.
  14. I sense a tone of frustration but that is to be expected. Who is lashing at who. You certainly haven't Colin Maybe the problem is people seeing a fight where there isn't one. Can someone quote where there has been lashing out on this thread.
  15. I'll send you my address, they are the king of biscuits and should be worshipped.
  16. I have a similar anecdote from the other viewpoint. A friend of Lady Bacon is on the kidney transplant list because she continued to take blood pressure tablets on the advice of 2 medical professionals, even though she was continually reporting problems to them, they seemingly ignored her. Only when her health deteriorated over a very short timescale did they realise the damage done, and then tried arse covering in case she took action against them/trust. An enquiry revealed that had they listened to her at the beginning she wouldn't be on dialysis and awaiting a transplant. I also have some issues due to a Dr continually prescribing beyond the maximum limit for the drug. I now question everything and anything they say.
  17. Jol, for clarity the deposit for a loco is £10.
  18. Put it on ignore then. What else would you expect when you quote from another thread where the main thrust is disappointment with non delivery of items after payment. I took the reference to Ratner as that of a business owner who publicly stated that his customers were gullible, thereby (in Ratners case) destroying his business. If Bill didn't think he would get negative comments by starting this thread then his market research really isn't working. I replied to this thread as Bill had quoted me, had he not and the thread had been purely about when items listed as 'in preparation' were to be available (as the thread title indicated) then I would have read with interest but probably not commented. Bill has obviously found a business model that works for him, people give him small amounts of money as a deposit with no expectation. Part of my point was that an EOI is very different to a deposit which has contractual obligations attached to it. And to re-itterate. I have no axe to grind and as I've said I found him a very pleasant chap when I met him, his products are those I should be interested in and the newer ones I've seen are very nice.
  19. That's a £1000 worth of Chicken feed, not a small sum. It is if you're putting a deposit down, that's the difference when you hand over money you should be more informed of progress.
  20. I understand that Phoenix have the Southern moulds and either they manufacture themselves or they have someone mould for them. They did not form part of the sale to Coopercraft.
  21. Ian sold his moulds for the 4mm Gresley coaches to Colin Ashby and Tony Brown (in whichever order) and in turn they were sold to Paul Dunn (Coopercraft) as far as copyright goes, he who holds the moulds holds the copyright, and if not the copyright then certainly the means for production (or not as in this case) Better to find an alternative. As an example I have been casting some Highland cattle wagons in Resin for a friend who has his own masters, 40 so far.
  22. In a nutshell. My BiL owns (as franchisee) 10 McDonalds 'restaurants' they turn over just under 30 million a year, I have said that as obesity rises so do their profits. The most popular are the drive thru's where the fat ones don't even have to expend energy getting to the counter. . .and don't start me off about litter from these endless fast food outlets.
  23. I have, and had a conversation along those lines. The answer I was given was they were overweight because they worked odd hours, I pointed out at the time I weighed less than they did and was on nights & days with no routine.
