  1. I agree to a certain extent with you that to produce something it's good to know the demand, but I noted in a previous comment by Bill that he hadn't chased small amounts but might think again if it was a £1000. With near 100 kits 'in preparation' and some never to be produced the £1000 Bill said "would make him think differently" is here, but the other way round as he holds it. For clarity I have not ordered from BB and won't, I was going to make a deposit on a couple of kits but an email response made it clear that although deposits were able to be taken (and still are 15 months on) the item(s) in question were unlikely to ever be made.
  2. I think I'll wait for the Family Guy version.
  3. You'd see the (approx) £927.50p taken as deposits for the 96 kits 'in preparation'..
  4. When you type a reply there is 'Reply with attachments' in the bottom right corner. Just attach the image to the post rather than using off site hosting.
  5. Surely that's 'Sarsons Greetings'
  6. I remember selling her a ticket at Hatfield in 1982/3. . all I'll say is that the make up artists work wonders.
  7. Couldn't resist it. Slightly off topic but my friends daughter (20's) has been working on the 'Gypsy Children' programmes and it was an eye opener to her, they had to be chaperoned to stop the 13/14 year olds from molesting them ! I only know one that used a high top van but sold it before much use as he kept hitting low objects (trees etc) and got fed up of the damage. Most popular in the trades are the transit and vivaro.
  8. Will you be towing the fully chromed 4 wheel gypsy van and a shredder ? Where's the Dag going?
  9. Like wot e sed. All worktop (inc stone/granite) scratches so you'll need to put something on the underside. If you don't, within a short period of time you'll have a very dull area where the workstation is used.
  10. Looking at my spotting notes from the mid/late 70's we had a Peterborough Stopper that arrived in Sandy a 18.35/40 and was usually a 'foreign' engine. 46's turned up regularly on this as well as 40's & 31's but rarely a 47. There was also a Northbound Freightliner at approx 20.30 that was 46 hauled about 75% of the time.
  11. A tray with some cloth/felt on the underside as Kitchen worktop scratches like buggery when you don't want it to.
  12. What size is the bracing you've used ? It would be very unusual for a piece of (say) 2"x1" to warp/twist enough to lift a board. What is the thickness and type of board you've used as a baseboard and how is it framed ?
  13. With all that instruction on loco building, I can send the G1 straight back then. . . .
  14. We've had them in the garden this week. Starlings come in mob handed but we've put plenty out so the smaller birds don't get kicked off the feeders. LTT clan still passing through, they head one way in the morning and then reverse in the afternoon.
  15. Chipboard is only really sold as 18mm & 22mm T&G for flooring nowadays as OSB is cheaper to produce and structurally slightly better for jobs like flat roofing. MDF and ply have replaced it where is was used for boxing etc. They wouldn't take it back, that's cheap and basic carcassing ply which is not for fine finish and the specs say it will move unless braced. It has voids within and is prone to movement when not stored flat and dry. The Asian market use it for Concrete shuttering once then throw it away.
  16. In the same way as placing a pick up on a tower block and demolishing it, didn't add to the safety spec. The programme is about petrol heads, not tree huggers with jumpers powered by llama dung.
  17. I don't think I know anyone that thinks TG or TGT is factual, it's always been about entertainment based around cars. Why else would you put a pick up on top of a soon to be demolished tower block, it's never been recognised as a consistent means of vehicle testing. I read the article and thought "look at me and how smart I am, my knowledge of Lucerne means I can see how false this is and I need to educate all the plebs that don't"
  18. And remember folks. . always wear your safety glasses. . .
  19. Just 2 words to say..... 'Valley girls' ..like ..you..know...totally . . like. .wow. . . uhah... A couple of years ago Number one son was trying to find my big brother on Facebook, he said he wasn't on there but I looked over his shoulder and pointed to a profile and said "that's him". .how do you know said son "That's Sheik Yerbouti" I replied.
  20. I was subjected to Frank Zappa as a teenager by my older (10 years) brother. . . . so much so, I was going to be a dental floss farmer.
  21. The issue with the replacement coach/bus service is that it didn't serve the intermediary stations such as Sandy & Potton, (Potton for a small station had quite high traffic receipts). East/West still looks to be happening, although the timescale has lengthened somewhat.
  22. Whether you mean to or not, you are coming across as having 'attitude' towards those that disagree with you. No staff should have to take abuse, but the individual this thread is about did not seem to be aggressive towards staff, if anything they ignored him which sadly is life for those with disabilities nowadays.
