  1. A list would be appreciated, is it possible to attach it to a post then it could be downloaded? I've got 3 of his kits left to build when I restart wagons.
  2. If you eat a daylight bulb would the sun shine out of your @rse eventually ?
  3. It doesn't surprise me at all as It's a diminishing market in all scales. The reason O gauge is more popular is because some of the older generation of modellers/collectors are moving to it from 4mm. None of what I have is thought of as an investment, I have it purely for my own enjoyment as that's what its true value is.
  4. With the hazelnut in every bite ?
  5. You wanna step outside........
  6. You forgot the 2 self appointed moderators asking for the light bulb thread to be locked. Although I don't agree with either of them and think it my right to free spee................etc..
  7. Really.........I'd never noticed.........................
  8. There's a piece in this months Railway Magazine (Woodhead Memories)
  9. Here's another one for you. They made flight look effortless as they rode the air currents at the cliff edge, and as I've usually seen them either in the air or over water it was only being so close to them I appreciated just how big a bird they are.
  10. We've just come back from a circular trip up around the Northeast (and across a bit), these are just a few snaps taken along the way Bempton Cliffs nr Bridlington, never been this close to a gannet before. They were coming in 2-3 at a time for nesting material just at the top of the cliff. You can never have enough Robins. A Stonechat at Alnmouth. I snapped this one as although they are not rare for some people, we've gone from a colony of about 10-15 in the garden to 1 or 2 occasional visitors over the last 4 years. And at Kielder we saw this little Vole stocking up, the speed he moved at made taking a pic quite a challenge, as you pressed the shutter he was in the viewfinder when the shutter closed he was gone! I had a few blurs but managed to get 2 out of about 8 shots taken. A few more of Puffins etc but they need cropping abit.
  11. I've seen 2 of these and they are not cheap to put together with the fittings they have inside so not surpised at the price tag. Agree about why this is 'news' typical non story.
  12. If it managed to get between Thirsk & Darlington in 30 minutes from Doncaster I bet it was doing a bit more than a ton.
  13. The sad thing is that while queuing in traffic about a year ago I sat in the truck looking down on a car with a holder for a Kindle and watched as the driver flicked through the pages. We also watch from the house while drivers use laptops/read newspapers/use hair straighteners etc as they queue for the A1 in the morning.....
  14. Luckily it's warming up and not really required as a Blackbird has just made its nest in the log pile.
  15. And yet some of the very high achievers and those that have done so much for society have been either dyslexic, or had some other condition that affects the ability to learn the same as others. Just because someone does not write in a way that is considered "Educated" it does not mean that they are devoid of imagination and ingenuity.
  16. I used to enter online, and before that telephone so the bill was always accurate. Maybe due to our usage we had the meters read every 12-18 months and as they are inside the house in the original position from 1931 I had to be around to let them in. I also own a shop to house conversion in town, I've just checked the file and we have had appointments to have the meter read 3 times in the past 15 months, I would presume this is because the consumption has varied (a lot) from the previous owner.
  17. The prime minister? In which case I say Disreali in 7mm.
  18. I bike with excessive speed coupled with a foreign plated and probably left hand drive car.
  19. I'd not thought of the various conspiracy theories about having your power consumption monitored. But I would say that since having the smart meter fitted I don't have to wait around to have the meters read.
  20. We've got one, had it for about 2 years, had it as part of a meter upgrade when both the electric and gas meters needing replacing (along with the main street fuse). We're not wasteful with power/gas so it doesn't make much difference what's fitted.
  21. When I first looked there were about 20. I didn't pick any up as I've still got 10 or so to build as well as other makes.
