  1. Dapol made a good job of the flair on the D class.
  2. I think it will be able to negotiate tighter radius curves than 18000 as the bogies are not hidden behind a valence.
  3. That is good news. Mine are still intact, but I know it will only be a matter of time. I must say it is a fine model, runs beautifully, nice jerk free acceleration using my AMR controller. I have minimum 30" radius curves anywhere this is likely to run, so the 3rd radius minimum is not a problem and runs through my long and medium radius point without a problem. Heljan have done quite a good solution to get it to go around any train set curves without compromising the body.
  4. You could use soft iron wire, comes in 0.3 & 0.5mm diameter available from craft shops for jewellery making, eBay etc.
  5. Think it is 6' 1.8m. My camper can get in 2m car parks, but is restricted in the Euro tunnel.
  6. Looks like it was able to fit through the bridge as the fridge unit is intact, only when it transitioned to the steeper hill after the bridge it raised the lorry.
  7. Depends on what type of mine you are aiming for, not all mines where large with winding gear, many where drift mines just tunnelled into to the side of a hill with minimal buildings.
  8. That is the best place to connect a car radio. Car wiring looms act as aerial for all sorts of interference.
  9. Yep, mine can last Friday. Greeted by the tender buffers floating around in the box. At least it is he right shade of black. Does run well despite only the rear tender wheels touching the track.
  10. Well I am rather pleased the tank wagon will soon be available, I have always liked them.
  11. There is period photographic evidence of red buffer beams and sole bars on class A tank wagons.
  12. Probably not until Bachmann and Hattons play nicely together.
  13. Looks like it has been modified with another axle, originally they only had one axle as aeroplanes are light but bulky things
  14. You could have looked on the first page of this thread and worked it out.
  15. Think it is just variable quality in the printing. One of my earlier versions is near perfect the other has very noticeable print lines.
  16. Oxfords photo I have lightened to show more detail. Wouldn't know about accuracy, but it looks like a very detailed moulding
  17. They haven't done a black 08 either, and that is more steam era.
  18. Does this help. Just looks like the chains are held on by pins into the bed.
  19. Mines not printed too badly, but the paint on the roof was already cracked, like the previous versions have started to do.
  20. That has always been the case though, hasn't it? They only supplied directly to a business premises.
  21. Yes LOT 01 But I'm not sure that is accurate though as the Hornby address is still in Sandwich, where new releases like the Generic coaches are Westwood. The boxes may have been printed when the model was originally expected.
