  1. The W4 tanks had long-lives. The Kent & Essex cement industries were still using them in the 60's.
  2. Probably not if they are made by Kader.
  3. They are full of spoil, If you go into Fowlmead country park (the old spoil tip) and mooch around in of the mounds it looks like coal but doesn't burn very well. I didn't try it honestly guv.

    X04

Hornby did make a cheap version for the older B12 loco, available as a spare for a long time, actually runs rather well.
  5. Why don't they make them more realistic in the first place.
  6. You need to worry if you don't get a resistance, as said it is the resistance through the armature windings.
  7. Some versions are in the shops now, one is on its way to me.
  8. I've seen them before but seem to remember only one diagonally at each end, so the domed buffer fitted into it.

I don't think production is the problem, it is shipping, at the moment there is a shortage of containers to ship from China. One of my suppliers doesn't expect to be able to ship till February.

Yes, the 2732 pannier tank was available with DCC fitted.
  15. The report said the indicators where not illuminated, is this another case of asking someone to notice something not there as opposed to a positive indication?
  16. I have a 3L eBay jobbie, use it for cleaning carburettors. Come out nice and clean.
  17. Look totally different colour and lining style to me, as though the cab top has been replaced from another loco.
  18. I fitted the Triang track cleaner to Hornby's 4 wheel coach, very effective with a drop of meths. And the best duster ever.
  19. You right it wasn't an actual Pantechnicon (removal lorry) just a general goods lorry (short dropdown tail board).

    2021 hopes

I keep hoping they will do the Maunsell L1 from their back catalogue.
  21. They were good motors as an alternative to the XO4, with the bracket the motor could be fitted in a more confined body. One in my Wills C class.
  22. Absolute tosh, after years teaching mechanics, peoples brains work in different ways, some can do it easily, others struggle and some just don't have the dexterity.
  23. Yes my local newsagent stocks a selection of Airfix kits, always been steady sellers but after lockdown she hasn't been able to keep up with demand.
  24. I thought the original Dapol one was the A1XL
