  1. C&L sold them - I don't know if the new owner is keeping them in the range. It was part number C1541. and they were about £3 each as I recall. I can't help thinking that CPC Farnell or RS don't sell them at a considerably lower price. The EDAC number /code should assist in tracking them down! Dave
  2. Verdigris is unlikely unless it's a copper or brass tank! Plenty of algae likely though from leaks and spills. Dave
  3. Barmouth also had a very substantial water tank as seen in the left background. Dave
  4. It's an awful photo but the rear says it's Barmouth. That looks suspiciously like a water crane behind! Dave
  5. Towards the bottom of this page Dave
  6. CME You seem to invariably reply using the 'Reply quoting this post' option which often means that the post becomes huge with photos etc. being unnecessarily attached again. I just used the "Reply to this topic' option using the Full version of RMWeb rather than the Mobile version. I wrote the text, chose the file from my photo album on the iPhone, attached the file and added it to the post before hitting Add Reply. In my case it has worked fine. What type of phone are you using? Dave
  7. I'm sure there are others that would try to help but need slightly better diagnostic info than "RMW just keeps throwing me out". If you explain the problem, maybe we can help to find a solution. Dave

I think this might be Seaton but can't see a name reference in this thread. Can you identify it please, Chris? Dave
  9. BTW did I mention that I also had to sacrifice my weekend at Railex 2017 to do the driving? Greater love hath no man...... etc. etc.! Dave
  10. Great stuff, David. Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, I drove a team of mid-30s lads from Witney up to Dumbarton. On the Saturday morning we continued to Ben Nevis then travelled to Scafell Pike and finally Snowdon. All three peaks were climbed within a single 24-hour window. I just did the 460+ miles of driving between mountains in about 10 hours. The lads did the 27 miles of climbing (nearly 10000 feet total ascent over the three peaks). Over 1000 miles driving for the weekend but a LOT of money raised for charity (and lots of tired legs!) Dave
  11. If you (or anyone else) want to buy a new, untouched Mercian 63xx kit then PM me! I have one for sale following the purchase of a RTR one from Lionheart.Dave
  12. Chris More useful gen, thanks. In the photo below of 'A' class 149 before the GWR rebuilt it and numbered it 376, there is no sign of a GWR-style injector behind the solid step. I conclude that the injectors (and open steps allowing access) are a GWR mod. Therefore, presumably, we shall be seeking a suitable 'standard' GWR part from Laurie Griffin or similar perhaps. Dave
  13. Thanks Chris I have one of these to build so forewarned is forearmed. I'll have to get some injectors if they are not in the kit as their absence compounds the lack of support for the steps as well as leaving the rear wheels very visible. Dave
  14. Just stumbled on this thread. The photo below purports to show 1434 at Westbury at an unknown date although study of the rolling stock, liveries etc should narrow the date range - early 1900s is my best guess. Dave
  15. I presume that you've seen this build thread? http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/1094-jazz-7mm-workbench/?p=1327097 Dave
  16. I suspect that you have a fair amount of flexibility. Here's 7313 - Croes Newydd-based - in disgrace near Barmouth. Dave
  17. Chris I have just had a quick scan through my collection of well over a hundred 'A' class loco photos in the hope of finding even the slightest hint of distortion to the cab step to support your outrageous assertion but have failed to do so. Indeed, with a rather large injector behind the step it is unlikely that there's any chance of a bent step without the loco's operation being seriously compromised! Dave
  18. I would be sorely tempted to use the G0G recommended weights rather than NMRA. Your glued plastic wagon at 10.5oz will become a kit again the first time it gets a heavy shunt! Dave

Chaz You have made two posts today on this thread prior to this one - at 0821 and 0844. The earlier post referred to is the 0821 which contains no photos. Take a look via an iPhone or iPad and you will see what we see! Dave
