  1. Indeed, I’ve mentioned before I believe the main reason introduction of smart EV chargers was legislated was in the future the charger can communicate with the smart electricity meter and the supplier so the domestic usage and EV usage can be charged separately, it’s not ready yet but give it five or ten years and who knows?
  2. If I bought Mrs BB a Dyson I’d be in even more trouble 🤕
  3. I don’t need a 92, I don’t need a 92…..I don’t need a 92……
  4. Trolley bus, but it always kept dropping off the wires……made me late for school.
  5. But of course we don’t want to keep moaning about the quality eh? 😁
  6. I hope it is a professional conversion, if really interested a buyer would be well advised (as the advert states) to give the seller a ring and have a nice long chat with them, and even then ask if it had some kind of “sign off” cert.
  7. Same weight as a Traveller load of auto jumble car parts for the weekend market 🤣
  8. Although the transmission is effectively a single drive through fourth gear directly, lots of converted classics use the same system through the original gearbox, some even allow the use of a clutch, that’s where it can hurt with the torque from an electric motor.
  9. It’s funny a lot of people moan about how big modern cars have got, and love the cute and shapely old cars but forget they were as strong as kitchen foil 🤣
  10. Of course, sorry I was thinking of Tik-Tok……….👍
  11. One of the bogies on mine was distorted, like it was twisted when taken from the mould, only two opposite wheels touched the rails!
  12. We use WhatsApp for keeping in touch with family, nice and secure and excellent quality, sure it’s Chinese American* but no adverse effects so far 😁 *edit to correct geographical mind soup
  13. Mine is a Yellow square with a black + Ohh yes, it is easy when you know how……cheers Ian.J 😁
  14. I was going to mention that until I realise it’s not loose it’s cross threaded, so perfectly fine 🤣
  15. Co2 per kilometre is emissions, it’s also a result of how much fuel you burn……let’s call it a draw? 😆
  16. We are not strictly able to change the bulbs/lamps over here either, it’s just been made very hard fail on the MoT test, but some vehicles can get away with it as they use a headlamp which was designed for both types of bulb.
  17. Most of Europe you can only fit approved modifications which have been tested by the TuV, we get away with a lot over here but the car still must comply with C&U regs, you should see some of the modifications done in the States, anything goes over there, it really is the Wild West. Seriously, this is really driving around over there, and this is a mild one 😱
  18. I’ve sent that to our old neighbour, she loved the Morris Traveller she used to own but also loved and now misses the i3 she had a few years ago…..😁
  19. That settles it, we didn’t want or need to change our i3 and now we definitely won’t be……£20…..I can just about afford that 😁
  20. Absolutely correct, I have two distinctly different mobility scooters, one is the normal “break down” carry in the boot type and the other weighs about 400kg and just about fits in the back of a Transit Van, but that one is for getting down (and up) the hill and on the beach, the smaller one cannot even get off the slope on our drive. The friendliest railway I have found for helping us with the mobility scooter has been the Lappa Valley Railway 🤣 Unashamed plug for a lovely tourist attraction down here, don’t miss it. https://www.lappavalley.co.uk
  21. It’ll either be a percentage (or banding) of the OTR price or maybe raise the VAT on domestic electric used for charging, but for that every EV owner would need a smart meter and the actual back office infrastructure isn’t in place yet.
  22. Half way through the episode two of the TT chat and I claim my 50% discount, pretty sure SK have mentioned 50% twice now, yes please SK 😁
