good point. The whole fleet will be receiving a very light weathering over the summer in advance of RMweb Live! and Wycrail - not too much as this is a heritage railway
-
You might have better luck posting in the main forum, blogs are considered to be for documenting your build projects rather than general enquiries etc
-
of course the body does not fit now .......

here's mine
Dapol kit on a Bachmann Deltic chassis with A1 etches etc

I've got a good photo of the real fuel tank gauge if you want to print a small one off for your model
-
The Tenshodo gearset I fitted to the Rail Grinder drive bogie took quite a lot of running in, but once done so, was a lot quieter does your SPUD have brass worms and black nylon axle gears?
-
Fancy doing the rodding for Fourgig? Maybe a bit bigger than you are used to

Just starting packing ourselves, wonder what I'll find?

George is going to explode with delight, Colas 70s!

See Loveless are copying you now with their Deltic bogies ....

Remember 93000 will be for sale at Peterborough, complete with Bachmann 3 function decoder, box, copy of September 2008 Hornby Magazine and a copy of the weight diagram used as the basis for the model. Looking for offers around

Flour? are you a baker then?

I made a steam engine

Thanks for the kind comments
The body is longer than the MKI version as it uses the correct br3 boiler etc from the 73xxx.
In reality I should have shortened the smokebox a wee bit but instead juggled the position of the whole body on the 8F chassis. The Bachmann cab is a tad longer than that on the weight drawing too.
My take is that had they been built they would have used as many common parts as possible

Hope so, I'm hoping to have it ready for BRM Peterborough. Photos are a given, I hope to do a follow up article for Hornby Mag, if Mike wants it
Not too sure how the Bachmann body will fit the Hornby chassis, will see next week. Just got to source a front bogie and tender body

Modelling clutter? what clutter?

It's already there Pete

The 42" LCD TV is waiting for some black paint, although it might be stuck on cbbc/Teletubbies!. Wifi will be available via the router across the tracks in the Signal box, WPA secured although a guest password will be issued on arrival

My inspiration - https://www.facebook.com/Railholiday
and they have a T34 4 wheel coach to renovate too

The plan is to paint some "drawn" curtains on the insides of the glazing then add some "real" curtains to the windows of the internal partitions. The toilet window will be obscured glass, so the only way anyone will see that detail is if I lift the roof off at a show .....

Thanks Moz good to know. There's going to be very little 'normal' interior in this build. Might be useful in future though

hi Lisa, I have two sons, Josh has Asbergers and ADHD. George has profound developmental issues and epilepsy. There are a few of us on the forum with experience of the spectrum. You are not alone

although I could have screw links between this one and the all 3rd.....

WOW, that is some serious talent. If you hadn't said I would have assumed it was a photo backscene. Stunning.
