Re6/6 replied to Blobrick's topic in German Railways
The few that I've got run very sweetly. As good as Fleischmann, Minitrix and Arnold. -
Another picture from the late Matford 'archive'. An Exmouth unit awaits departure in platform 2 alongside the old factory which is about to be sold to property developers!😏 Ctsy Chris Nevard and Model Rail

Hello Geraint, It was good to see you at Railex. Sorry that your AGM visit has been scuppered. 'Marsh' will be at Wells and S4um so hopefully we'll meet at one or the other.

Abandoned rails in the road.....(or elsewhere...)

An interesting 'article' on this. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Phyllis_Rampton_Narrow_Gauge_Railway_Trust -
A fascinating assortment today Jamie. Great stuff! I'm curious as to what a 186 was doing there so far from its home.

Again Kelvin, top drawer stuff. Your scenics are superbly done.

Super book. Excellent read. Well done Simon!

That is just excellent modelling Kelvin. I had to look twice....!

When I was based at Exeter back in the eighties, we had a very, shall we say, overbearing RI who was six foot something tall and built like the proverbial brick s***house. His 'military bearing' was very intimidating for any miscreant although he was a lovely bloke off the job!

RAILEX (Aylesbury) 27th & 28th May 2023
Re6/6 replied to David Bigcheeseplant's topic in Exhibitions
10800 and I made the long trip up from Devon and it proved to be very worthwhile. Fine layouts were on show and it was good to see 'useful trade' there rather than box shifters. The only issue for us was with the catering . The glass food cases were all empty by 1300 and all that seemed to be available were biscuits and the like. Thank you David and the team. -
Saw her in 1996 on her Wildest Dreams tour. Her electrifying performance has stuck in my memory ever since. Rest in peace good lady.

Excellent! It's so sad that the 'heritage' of RAF Scampton will soon be lost.

Rob, from your question on Wright Writes thread, is this the sort of thing that you mean or is the finish too rotten and distressed? I did it with 'any old brown' that I had and distressed them with white spirit and a cotton swab. with added green weathering powder to finish. Used on CK's South Polden Light Railway

That looks to be a very useful bit of kit Julian. I'm tempted now having seen that.

...Aaah..a proper croque.... I bought a so-called one on the way to the Bristol show last week which was abominable. A microwaved block of goo!
