  1. Cheap first 6 months for me then 100 ton tanks, blue / grey Mk1 FK second issue.....first have been sold out for years, and then the Mk2Fs in December.....which probably means early 2020!
  2. My copy arrived today, not had chance to open it yet.
  3. Mine are enroute from Carlisle too. I see they are WR numbered.
  4. Great stuff, thanks everyone. Nailed in 30 mins.....
  5. Can anyone identify the wagon type behind 85024 at Lancaster. They look like these but seem to have a middle weld seam that doesn't appear on these wagons. https://paulbartlett.zenfolio.com/alcanpca thanks in advance.
  6. Prime position for photos, bit of a pain when the breakdown crane or the Eastbourne parcels were berthed there! The telephone exchange was in the room next door, facing the station.
  7. No updates in over a month, the building work is taking over. We are now fully watertight, roof, windows and Veluxs all fitted. This week the heating system is being laid in the kitchen / diner, lounge and layout room........floor down next! I've acquired my wife's old phone as she has got a new one. Didn't fancy the floral hard case she had for hers!....... so I ordered a new one via Photobox......... Its 33022 in 1979 leaving Brighton with the 1500 departure to Manchester Piccadilly, taken by me from the station switchboard which was in the Combined Engineering Depot. Photo was taken in poor light conditions so looks a bit grainy. I'm rather pleased with it...might think about making these and others available for sale.
  8. The Motorail branding was on the end of the coaches below the C1 restriction markings. Interesting that they have put B1 bogies on the coach as I haven’t seen a Motorail one that hasn’t got B4’s or Commonwealths. I’ll be getting some for the Olympia fleet. Another Blue Domino class 47 is good, as is the sound fitted class 101.
  9. N gauge DEMU would be great....as long as they do a three car. As I’ve built a class 25/3 from the current Farish class 25/1 this year the6 are bound to announce a class 25/3 for delivery in 2025! A 4 Wheel Ferry van would be good, but I expect the Freightliner flats will get the shrink ray.
  10. Yes, had this quite a lot. It’s usually just one axle per bogie that gets out of place. Especially been a pain on my 4TC as it has solid bar couplers too. I’ll watch both of your improvements with interest to see how they go.
  11. The brackets are probably an excellent fit for the twisty excuses for timber that DIY stores seem to sell.
  12. Well Amberley Publishing have published the first blog they asked me to write for them.... https://www.amberley-books.com/blog/2018/12/southern-region-1970s-1980s-andy-gibbs/
  13. Thank you, just a few more to sell.... We are doing a revision of the cover after some constructive comments, No Deltic.....that’s being corrected.
  14. Traction magazine issue 249 dropped through my letterbox this afternoon. Another excellent set of articles awaits....and a bit by me!
  15. ....and thanks for the nice review of my book too. https://www.amberley-books.com/community-andy-gibbs
  16. Heading south today for the Brighton MRC exhibition.

  17. No John they aren’t....the previous two books I submitted half a dozen for them to choose, this one just four. Problem is of course you lose some images that would have made the book.
  18. Those Uni Posca paint pens are very useful, I’ve used them on the RailNscale cars, I expect you have too.
  19. These were the previous two covers..... As you can see they managed to place the name clear of the locomotive........except the barcode on the Peak.
  20. Thanks for the comments.......I think this is part of the 'house style'......but I agree that moving the name or re-cropping that image will be better. Email time!
  21. The Eastern Region book, my third, has been proof read and returned....here is the proposed cover. The synopsis on the rear cover is for the WR book. That has been pointed out to the publishers! I've also asked them to re -crop the photo at Retford so that the class 31 hasn't been chopped off.
