  1. Yes, had this quite a lot. It’s usually just one axle per bogie that gets out of place. Especially been a pain on my 4TC as it has solid bar couplers too. I’ll watch both of your improvements with interest to see how they go.
  2. The brackets are probably an excellent fit for the twisty excuses for timber that DIY stores seem to sell.
  3. Well Amberley Publishing have published the first blog they asked me to write for them.... https://www.amberley-books.com/blog/2018/12/southern-region-1970s-1980s-andy-gibbs/
  4. Thank you, just a few more to sell.... We are doing a revision of the cover after some constructive comments, No Deltic.....that’s being corrected.
  5. Traction magazine issue 249 dropped through my letterbox this afternoon. Another excellent set of articles awaits....and a bit by me!
  6. ....and thanks for the nice review of my book too. https://www.amberley-books.com/community-andy-gibbs
  7. Heading south today for the Brighton MRC exhibition.

  8. No John they aren’t....the previous two books I submitted half a dozen for them to choose, this one just four. Problem is of course you lose some images that would have made the book.
  9. Those Uni Posca paint pens are very useful, I’ve used them on the RailNscale cars, I expect you have too.
  10. These were the previous two covers..... As you can see they managed to place the name clear of the locomotive........except the barcode on the Peak.
  11. Thanks for the comments.......I think this is part of the 'house style'......but I agree that moving the name or re-cropping that image will be better. Email time!
  12. The Eastern Region book, my third, has been proof read and returned....here is the proposed cover. The synopsis on the rear cover is for the WR book. That has been pointed out to the publishers! I've also asked them to re -crop the photo at Retford so that the class 31 hasn't been chopped off.

  14. A recently acquired NSE livery class 47 has had its 47581 numbers and Gt Eastern names removed. These have been replaced with some rather nice 3D waterslide decals from Railtec. The loco is now the 47573 the London Standard.
  15. Nice review of my SR book in the December issue of the Hornby Magazine.....recommended reading no less!......it was their only book review!
  16. The 4TC DTS Coaches have had the handrails added as well as the ETH jumper and unit numbers. The footboards have also been altered around the cab and first passenger door. Just coach numbers and finish off the bogie additions before some weathering to complete. I’ll get some photos up later this week.
  17. Due out on the 15th of November. Hopefully I will get my copies before I head south to the Brighton MRC exhibition.
  18. Nice review of my book in the December issue of Hornby Magazine......not the Times Literary Supplement but it’s a start!
  19. Just a week to go before the exhibition...I’ll be heading down from York for the weekend to help out....hope to see a few RMweb members over the weekend...please make yourselves known and I hope you enjoy the show.
  20. Something a bit different.....Lotus Seven from RailNScale https://railnscale.com/2018/10/31/lotus-seven/ Shame about the pricing changes.
  21. Both series have been useful to me as they regularly used locations around Kensington Olympia for filming.
  22. Without doubt the magazine is worth the subscription alone, plus you get access to the NGS commissioned models and kits.
  23. More money than sense..... There still hasn’t been a second run announcement of the blue/grey Mk1 FK, the first run sold out very quickly.
