  1. A couple of pictures of part of the locking on my home brewed 16 lever frame.
  2. Jon, I doubt it, looking at your models, I'm sure you would make a good job of designing a lever frame, and also the locking.
  3. Jon, I hope after all your effort, you are going to fit your frame with full mechanical locking.Mick.
  4. Similar basic design, and in the current "MRJ" article, Hessle Station a few miles east of Gylberdyke is mentioned, Hessle certainly not.
  5. []Thanks to latest "MRJ", I have just discovered this thread, Wonderfull. Re earlier posts, I should think Eddie's insperation for the station building came from Staddlethorpe Junction, Hull Selby Line, and now called Gylberdyke.
  6. Cola contains phospric acid, much the same as soldering flux, like me, stick to ale.
  7. Here's a better example of former N E Rly practice. On reflection, my sketch of Withernsea, will most likerly be after the LNER carried out Locking alterations.
  8. Chubber, fantastic work, I also thought the mill was the realthing.
  9. I have nothing on the actual GW poster boards, but I do have here an interesting article scanned out of an early '60's Model Railway News on poster sizes. This describes how several standard size sheets made up into various larger sized posters etc, and also gives the standard poster board sizes etc. Contact me micknich2003@yahoo.co.uk if you think a copy of interest.
  10. Some years ago, there was published a book on GW Trackwork, I'm sure it will tell you all you need to know. I have it here but can't find it, nor do I recall the exact title or author. I'm sure Martin Wynne will know.
  11. I always use the steps supplied in the "Plastistrut" range, and no doubt others are available.
  12. Don't forget, there was also the Kitmaster 8ft Single. I still have one, and intend at sometime to "Scale it Up" and motorize it. Mick.
  13. If things go to plan one or two comming up as "Spares". Mick.
  14. Ian, first time I have seen your thread. As one who knows the area, you have cought the atmosphere to a "T". You just need a couple of "Wild Women" to set it off. Mick.
  15. Just found the attached advert for K's first motor. For its day it looks a quility product, but at 37/6 very expensive, without checking the then Triand/Rovex eqivelent would probably have been less the "Ten Bob". Does anyone have recollecton of this K's motor? By 1952 K's must have been in business for sometime, in the April "MRN" they are once again advertising their annual loco building compotition. Same page, the advert/description of the "Scale" colour light signal, would today, be a bit close to the Trade Descripion Act. Mick.
  16. Anyone remember Duggleby's in Hull? At onetime he had three shops, mainly toys, bikes and dolls prams etc, but the Princes Ave shop stocked serious model railway stuff. Ken Marsden worked for many years at the Princes Ave shop, I think he is still with use but must be 80 or more. Mick.
  17. Dear Paul, K's were advertising the J72 kit, as an existing release, in the Dec 1960, "MRN", their address was Uxbridge Road. Mick.
  18. K''s where at Tubbs Road by Jan 1963, MRN Advert", this is the same address as my catolouge. Hanover Court was an earlier address as per advert in Jan 1960 MRN.
  19. Attached page from K's catolouge of c1968, Yellow cover, 35 pages, approx present "A5" size, price 1/- Mick.
