  1. This may be a bargain for the O gauge modellers. https://mailchi.mp/railsofsheffield/heljanfalcons?e=a0f31efd6a Cheers Colin
  2. Well I've finally decided to move Ashbridge on but I'm not sure how much to ask for it. If anyone is after a layout that needs a little bit scenery work to complete the layout as everything else is complete the only thing that's not included is the NCE powercab as that's going to be used on the next project. So if anybody is slightly interested then please drop me a private message. Cheers Colin
  3. Well they better get some route learning done pretty dam soon as there's well over 200 drivers and guards to learn the route to Bromsgrove and sign it off so personally I think it won't be happening from May 2018 the same could be said for a route that we are learning currently and that supposed to be starting from the 19th February. Cheers Colin
  4. Another great video I'm seriously getting hooked on these now. Keep up the great work I'm looking forward to the next instalment. Cheers Colin
  5. Finished for the day shame it was a 0430 start now to find matchstick to keep my eyes open

  6. Was it really October when I last put a comment on here well I've had a a few jobs to do over Christmas around the house and of course playing trains on the 12inches to the foot scale layout. I'm now at the stage of considering moving Ashbridge on as I'm a little bit bored with it the electrics are complete the point motors for the fiddleyard are wired up but not yet operational and the scenics are about 80% done so it wouldn't take much to finish it off. I'm hoping to start something a bit smaller and I want to concentrate on a diesel depot/stabling point. I'll try and upload some recent photos photo's when I can grab 5mins to myself. Cheers Colin
  7. It's probably because they're in the glass cabinets they're not exactly in an eye catching view. I was tempted yesterday but resisted temptation.
  8. All okay for me and I'm using chrome on my laptop and Android browser on my phone
  9. What other layouts are you looking to move on as I'm looking for something small to operate until I get the go ahead for the monster layout in the attic. Sorry to hijack this thread Cheers Colin
  10. Lovely shot of 37025 I saw it in the old carriage sidings in Rugby on Tuesday morning but I couldn't get a decent pic. I've sent you a link for the maps to email address I had for you. Cheers Colin
  11. New St to Redditch is fairly easy I can send the up to date maps for all routes around Birmingham if you haven't got them as I've just received them myself. Cheers Colin
  12. Hmmm travelling pass New St to Northampton with 2DM's and an instructor driving my train I feel a joke coming on

  13. If the guard is working that particular type of stock in this case a 319 (I never had the chance as a guard) I'm sure it's the same as a 321/350 unit the emergency plunger are reset with a T-key/carriage key. They are competent in simple issues such as this unless they develop a fault don't forget these units are getting on a bit now and we are getting more of them to cover for the 350/2 being repaired and taken off lease.
  14. I've not heard of anything about this at work as I'm sure we need to do some route learning for us drivers and guards and that would include Coventry and Wolverhampton Depots as well as New St and there's a fair few members of traincrew to get through and we have some route learning going at the moment for the new Coventry - Leamington service which should start mid February. I bet in reality the service will more than likely be December 2018 which was the original plan from day 1. Cheers Colin

  16. Jjb 1970 you've hit the nail on the head with that last comment of course I can't really say anymore but myself and the rest of the staff will agree with you.
  17. Somewhere in the region of £119.99 absolute bargain hmmmm
  18. No please no I will be seriously tempted with an O gauge 08 and I don't model O yet !!
  19. By any chance do you know which 350 it was by that I mean a 350/1/2 or a 3 the 2's are a bit bouncy over pointwork as I had 350245 this morning and boy was it bouncy over the points at Long Lawford junction near Rugby and that was at about 90mph
  20. Sorry the old boss is retiring and the new boss has come from Merseyrail
  21. Please don't take offence to this post but for one minute can you all think about the traincrew working these services like our depot at Coventry we operate both LNW & WMR we brought this up at the new company staff road show and was told that we will have to change name badges depending on what service we was currently running. I politely said there's no agreement for Drivers to wear name badges at all. It appears this new company know nothing about the previous franchise operations at all. I just wish some people who are not in the industry who continually post absolute nonsense would carry out a little bit research before posting. As we still don't know which part of the company we'll be part of. Thank you Colin
  22. Ah yes the spad indicator NS141 thankfully I've not seen it displaying the associated flashing. I can totally agree with you on the banner repeater it seems pretty much pointless if it's in the on position and the route is set for coming from Duddeston. Another one which is a real pain in the xxxx is NS129 which is on the Down Grand after Adderley park the sighting is a nightmare as it appears to move and merge with NS130 which is on the line from St Andrews (Small Heath) as you approach it thankfully it's days are numbered with all the new signals being put up ready for New St south panel going into the West Mids signalling centre. Cheers Colin
  23. I was watching the Mk1 version on the eBay and I was tempted but it was the transportation problem that stopped me from bidding. Good luck with the Mk2 version I'll be watching with interest. Cheers Colin
  24. If this is against forum rules then I apologise in advance what's the price for your redstripe class 20 ? Cheers Colin
  25. Oh dear the slippery slope has begun I've bought a Hornby railroad GWR Hall it's not a bad model to be honest.
